Japanese Sportcars have established themselves as one of the most popular vehicle classes since the 1960s. During this time, brands such as Nissan, Toyota and Honda brought powerful racing cars onto the market, which often captivated with their simple design. From the early sports cars of the 60s to the latest models, which impress with their electronic finesse and reliability, Nissan, Toyota and Co. have constantly evolved. Throughout their history they brought with them Honda NSX, the Toyota Supra and the Nissan GT-R remarkable vehicles. This article would like to comment briefly on these.

Nissan GT-R

The follow-up model of the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 is in great demand as a sports car and appeared for the first time at the Tokyo Motor Show 2007. Since then there have been countless innovations (facelifts). A revised version of the R35 has just come onto the market. However, the very latest model (R 36) is still a long time coming. The release is planned for 2028. According to reports, it should (unfortunately) be an electric vehicle with a solid-state battery.

Toyota Supra

The legendary sports car from Toyota came out in 1978 and now looks back on five generations. The current version comes up with a 3,0-liter turbo engine and offers a driving performance of up to 340 hp. A variant with the M3/M4 engine and over 500 hp is even planned. Furthermore, this model combines the advantages of a sports car with the driving experience of a coupé.

Honda NSX

The NSX has been on the market since the 1990s. Above all, the versions built up to 2005 stood out due to their technical equipment and established the Honda NSX as a race car. The last version came in August 2021 Type S variant out of here. It was limited to 350 pieces. From 2022, production was finally stopped.

Honda Civic Type-R

The model originally evolved from the Honda Civic and was first introduced in 1997 exclusively in Japan. In 2017 the fifth and finally in 2022 the sixth generation of the Honda Civic Type-R on the market. The latest model impresses with a 2.0 liter VTEC TURBO engine and a maximum output of 329 hp.

Technical class: Japanese car manufacturers have always had technical progress in mind and are pioneers in drive variants such as all-wheel drive or hybrid. Their electronic refinements make Japanese sports cars fast, agile and reliable vehicles.
High-quality production: Japanese sports cars are characterized by high quality and precision in the processing both inside and outside. This is one of their main distinguishing features and is appreciated by many car enthusiasts and experts.
Moderate prices: Although they can compete with the best European and American brands, they are still offered at a lower price.
