The SEMA show is known for their tuning conversions, and a wonderful example of this is this one Chevrolet C30 Pickup from 1965, completely rebuilt by Pure Metal Works. The show car combines classic design elements with the latest technology and performance, making it the ultimate eye-catcher. And of course there is a powerful engine hidden under the hood: a 7 liter V8 from Nelson Racing Engines, equipped with two 72 millimeter turbos. The setup ensures brutal performance around 1.300 hp and the base of the V8 is a Dart LS block, combined by ported cylinder heads, a Dart crankshaft, JE piston on Boostline connecting rods and 1200cc injectors. And to prevent the threat of overheating, a comprehensive system is provided PWR cooler package for the necessary temperature regulation.

Of course, the conversion doesn't just include the engine. A completely new one Custom chassis from GSI, especially for the fat double tires on the rear axle, is the foundation of the Restomods. According to Pure Metal Works, the chassis is the first of its kind for such a tuning pickup. And as is almost usual with such projects, the braking system comes from Wilwood. And it consists of 6-piston calipers at the front and 4-piston calipers at the rear on 16 inch brake discs, matched to one 10 hole hub.

Visually, the C30 appears almost discreet in contrast to the drive, if it weren't for the extreme Lowering through a Accuair air suspension and the flared rear fenders for the dual wheels. By the way, the body shines elegantly Gloss black, contrasted by subtle elements golden powder coating like Custom exhaust tailpipes, the Door handles and the 22-inch wheels by American Force. The Toyo tires in format 265 / 35 R22 underlines the special look. And another highlight is the new one load area, whose floor had to be raised due to the lowering and which now almost with the upper edges of the side walls and the tailgate.

The loading area doesn't really make sense, but it's pretty to look at. Because there are integrated ones Storage compartments with Succeed. They provide practical storage space and one of them even serves as a cooling box. And in the interior the theme of “reserved elegance“continue. The driver controls the pickup with one Sparc Industries steering wheel, that as well as that Bench, the Door panels and parts of Dashboard with the finest brown buffalo leather are related. And by the way, state-of-the-art technology is coming through fully digital 12 inch (approx. 30 cm) display , and a Alpine infotainment system a while a Restomod Air air conditioning ensures the perfect temperatures. The C30, built by Pure Metal Works and can be seen on the past SEMA show, not only stands for fantastic craftsmanship and great performance, but also for a successful synthesis of classic design and modern technology.
