De Tomaso has been back on the big stage for a while. And with the beautiful one P72, which is under the project name Project P got known. This is a sleek sports coupe, the prototype of which was presented to the world public at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2019. Driven by one Ford V8 engine with more than 700 PS Since then we have been waiting for the first production vehicle with road approval. But that shouldn't come until sometime next year. And then hopefully just like the De Tomaso that drove across the lawn of the Concorso D'Eleganza Villa D'Este on Lake Como in Italy last weekend in beautiful baby blue. However, once again the information: it was only one Prototyp! The vehicle was captured in pictures by Freddie Atkins, who went by the name on Instagram TFJJ is working.

The striking Painting from the P72 is combined with a beautiful white Interior with quilted Manager on the seats as well as a lot Aluminum. And the successful diamond pattern is even in the middle of the Steering wheel and around that instrument cluster to see. Even that Aluminum gear lever enjoys a diamond pattern. With the plan to build the P72 and all future vehicles in the US, it now appears that production will start near the Nürburgring in Germany. As already mentioned, the first copies of the De Tomaso P72 should roll to customers next year. The company is planning one limited edition from only 72 vehicles worldwide, with an estimated retail price of around US$890.000 (€750.000) each.

The Italian sports car manufacturer De Tomaso relies on the P72 carbon chassis and it's being built by the same team that built the Apollo IE built and developed. The athlete shows itself with a flat front hood, narrow LED headlights, large wheel arches and the driver and front passenger sit in a fully glazed, curved passenger cell. In addition, the sweeping side line ends in massive rear fenders with XXL air vents. And at the stern? There's a narrow one Window the circular ones can be seen and are particularly striking LED lights, the "De Tomaso" lettering and the diffuser in the apron.

700 hp and over 825 Nm of torque

The one sitting under the glass hood Five-liter supercharged V8 comes from the US tuner Roush performance and provides with those already mentioned 700 PS and over 825 Nm and a maximum of 7.500 revs for heavy propulsion. The V8 is coupled to a manual Six speed transmission. And best of all: The P72 is after the FIA LMP Hypercar regulations designed and can start with it in Le Mans.
