The Chinese tuner ASPEC presented the days a completely refined Smart that makes particularly powerful on AMG from the front. The ultra-short city car mutated thanks to specially developed body kit for pseudo-AMG and, at least in terms of appearance, even the Brabus Ultimate Smart ForTwo in the shadows. Particularly impressive is the huge front bumper, which with its ultimate air inlets is based on the design of the facelift Mercedes-Benz W212 E63 AMG bumper. One would like to think that there are 2-3 intercoolers behind that fire a V8 BiTurbo. But well ... And the bonnet also makes a big impression because thanks to a large central air inlet, the front looks completely mutated. The opening in the bonnet is reminiscent of that of the limited BMW M4 GTS, in my opinion. The significantly modified radiator grille with its massive cross brace is hardly significant. And the Smart also got a set of side skirts, and a definite highlight is the towering roof spoiler, which in turn could have come from the Mercedes A45 AMG Edition 1. On the other hand, the newly developed rear bumper, which has received a diffuser look and enables a specially developed central sports exhaust system, looks almost discreet.

And the performance of the third model generation (453) has not been left untouched either, and thanks to ASPEC, the small 0,9 l engine now delivers a whopping 123 hp and thus only 2 hp less than the German flagship model from Brabus. The chassis is of course not untouched and so there was a lowering by means of Eibach sport springs and a new set of monoblock forged wheels in black with a very appealing design. You can clearly see a larger brake system with brake calipers painted in yellow, but we have not yet had any information on this. We are also in the dark what kind of paint this is exactly, but what is certain is that it comes into its own in connection with the black Tridion safety cell and looks really good. While Chinese tuners tend to stir up prejudices about optics and quality, ASPEC proves once again that they are able to stand out from the crowd Bling Bling mass take off and turn sophisticated vehicles into reality.
Even if the front may take some getting used to for the first moment, the familiar AMG design looks quite pleasing and we can imagine that the ASPEC PSM123 body kit would also be very popular in this country. Unfortunately, we do not know whether and to what extent the accessories can be sold & approved in Europe. We hope that we will receive much more concrete details in the next few weeks because at the moment we can only reproduce what we think we can see in the pictures, apart from a few pieces of information.
