HGP under power: 820 hp Audi RS e-Tron GT thanks to the increase in performance!

This headline makes you sit up and take notice! A performance increase for a Stromer? Apart from a few Tesla vehicles somewhere far away from us, the topic is almost virgin in Europe and especially in Germany. Because currently (as of 12.2022) we do NOT know any German tuner (ingenext comes from Canada), which offers a performance upgrade for a German e-vehicle. Feel free to correct us in the comments if we're wrong. But the team at HGP Turbonachrüst GmbH has now done just that. You have a Stromer with increased performance! Specifically, the potent Audi RS e-Tron GT has been pre-buttoned. From the factory, the RS e-Tron GT delivers a whopping 646 PS & 830 NM torque "in boost mode" and accelerates to country road speed in 3,3 seconds. And the maximum system performance without "boost mode" is a strong 598 hp.

But the e-tron from HGP does more. An output of a hefty 800 to 820 hp should be possible as a system performance (geschätzt). In addition, the torque climbs to approx. 1.050 NM and thus a good 200 NM upwards. How it works? As with the combustion engine, by means software optimization. And the upgrade is even available for the sister model Porsche Taycan Turbo (S) and, on request, also for all "weaker" e-Tron and Taycan models. HGP installs customized software and at the same time increases the Vmax limit. There is also a permanent activation of the maximum battery performance ("overboost function" permanently active) and even a "TÜV registration" is possible.

At the same time, according to HGP, all protective functions of the motors, the power electronics and the battery pack are left untouched. Even the diagnostic capability remains fully intact. And if the e-tron has to be serviced, it cannot be overwritten by the manufacturer. On request, however, the series condition can also be restored at any time via HGP. With the performance increase from HGP, you can reach 2,8 km/h in just 100 seconds and break the 200 km/h barrier after an unbelievable 8,9 seconds. In view of the curb weight of almost 2,4 tons, this is of course a real announcement.

And who was allowed to try it all again? Of course Oli von Motor OliTV, to whom we would like to thank again for the pictures. Because the pics - and of course the videos - also show optical changes to the vehicle. There was an ultra-light OZ Hyper XT HLT rim set (9,5 x 21 inches & 11,5 x 21 inches). The Alus are equipped with Pirelli P Zero NFO ELT tires (265/35 ZR 21 & 305/30 ZR 21), which are also used on the Porsche Taycan. And so that the wheel set sits optimally in the wheel arch, the air suspension was lowered by approx. 15 mm via the suspension control unit.
