If you can do the new BMW Z4, you can also use the technically largely identical Supra of the A90 generation! At least when it comes to increasing performance, creating an exhaust system or maybe making a few changes to the brake system or the wheel / tire setup. Die-hard BMW tuners like Dähler, Manhart or AC Schnitzer have already demonstrated this impressively. Especially with regard to the B58 six-cylinder engine with 340 hp but also in relation to the new B48 four-cylinder of the brand new Supra 2.0. And also in terms of appearance, the Japanese is not rocket science, because almost every BMW tuner has also brought a few components for the body to the start. And now the team from the Japanese tuner 3D Design joins in. These guys are also known for modified BMW and Mini and are now expanding their repertoire to include the manufacturer Toyota. For the current Supra (J29 / A90) a carbon aerodynamic kit has been developed which consists of a large front spoiler, matching side skirts and a small spoiler lip for the tailgate.
Visible carbon components all around
The noble visible carbon components are particularly noticeable on the white photo vehicle. They blend harmoniously into the overall picture, which of course is also favored by the new wheelset. This also comes from 3D and is called 10th Anniversary Design. The forged wheels are installed in the 20 inch format and are available in matt gold or diamond black surface finishes. The black vehicle was chosen for the current vehicle. In combination with the red painted brake calipers and a subtle lowering by a few millimeters, the result looks extremely successful, as we find. And that also applies to the new interior components. In addition to new floor mats, high-quality aluminum pedals and new shift paddles made of carbon are available.
Booster Chip Ver.3 tuning box
And chip tuning is already available for the mentioned six-cylinder from BMW. Using the plug-and-play booster chip Ver.3 tuning box, the power rises from 45 to 55 hp to a good 380 hp. And with high probability the tuning box will also be available for the 4-cylinder in a timely manner and will probably elicit a good 300 hp from it. And for the future, we assume that the stainless steel sports exhaust system available for the Z4 with four 90-millimeter tailpipes will also be delivered for the Supra. It remains to be seen whether this also applies to a modified or expanded rear diffuser. We currently have no more details. If we receive timely information on further changes not previously mentioned, there is of course an update for this report.
