Electric cars are gaining ground worldwide, including in the luxury sedan segment. BRABUS has been refining Mercedes-Benz vehicles for over 45 years and has also been working with alternative drives since 2008. The Mercedes AMG Eqs 53 4MATIC+ is the basis for a new BRABUS MASTERPIECE that combines innovative design and the highest quality craftsmanship. BRABUS designers developed elegant, sporty aerodynamic parts made of visible carbon, which give the electric luxury liner BRABUS MASTERPIECE a striking look. Wind tunnel tests showed that the entire BRABUS exterior conversion improves the drag coefficient by an impressive 7,2 percent, which means that the driving resistance and range at speeds of 100 to 140 km/h increase by an average of 7,0 percent.

The BRABUS MASTERPIECE includes tailor-made BRABUS monoblock "PLATINUM EDITION" forged wheels with a diameter of up to 22 inches in various designs. A BRABUS lowering ensures more agile handling with the same high level of driving comfort and contributes to improved aerodynamics. The BRABUS MASTERPIECE interior is created in the in-house upholstery shop and is individually tailored to the colour, design and materials. The BRABUS MASTERPIECE shown here is based on the Mercedes-AMG Eqs 53 4MATIC+ and costs a hefty 299.468,26 euros.

Ever since BRABUS was founded in 1977, the company has stood for sporty, elegant design and maximum aerodynamic functionality. In 1985, a Mercedes W 124 sedan with a BRABUS aerodynamic kit achieved a drag coefficient of 0,26 in the wind tunnel, which was a Guinness World Record and has only been matched or surpassed by a few cars to this day. The BRABUS aerodynamics program for the current Mercedes EQS class follows this tradition and is made from high-gloss or matt-sealed visible carbon using a complex pre-preg process.

Forged wheels in 22 inch format

The front view of the EQS is made even more striking by a BRABUS spoiler lip and contributes to reducing the drag coefficient and lift on the front axle. The side sections are optically enhanced by BRABUS carbon air intakes in front of the rear wheel arches, while the diffuser and spoiler made of high-tech composite refine the rear view and reduce lift on the rear axle by up to 40 percent. All chrome parts of the body are painted black.

The exclusive BRABUS Monoblock "PLATINUM EDITION" alloy wheels are on the Eqs 53 4MATIC+ available in 22-inch format. The ten-spoke alloys are painted gloss black and are made using the latest forging and CNC machining technologies. The wheels in sizes 9Jx22 at the front with 255/35 ZR 22 tires and 10,5Jx22 with 295/30 ZR 22 tires on the rear axle make optimal use of the space in the wheel housings. The P Zero high-performance tires also come from technology partner Pirelli.

The BRABUS wheels not only impress with their appealing design, they also optimize handling. This is further reinforced by the specially tuned BRABUS SportXtra module, which is adapted to the standard RIDE CONTROL + suspension. The interventions in the electronic control lower the EQS 53 by 15 millimeters at the front and 20 millimeters at the rear without impairing driving comfort. And the lowering also contributes to reducing the drag coefficient. The exclusive BRABUS MASTERPIECE interior offers luxury and comfort in its purest form, with the finest leather in the color "Charcoal" dominating the interior.

countless customizations in the cabin

The leather-covered seat panels are precisely stitched in the "Arrow Wave" design, and the millimeter-precise perforation not only provides visual highlights, but also an optimal effect of the seat climate control. Embroidered logos of the refiner in the headrests and BRABUS MASTERPIECE badges on the seats are also part of the elegant interior. For maximum comfort on long journeys, comfortable cushions for the rear headrests were also made and covered with fine black Dinamica microfibre fabric, as were the A, B and C pillars of the saloon. Matching the visible carbon on the body, selected elements of the door panels and seats were covered with a vegan, black-grey mottled fabric.

Other exclusive BRABUS elements in the interior are the carbon pedal pads and the door sills with the illuminated BRABUS logo, which changes color according to the ambient lighting of the EQS. Floor mats and a trunk mat made of high-pile velor, each with the refiner logo and bordered with leather, complete the luxurious ambience. Mercedes EQS owners can also order the MASTERPIECE interior for their vehicle in almost any desired colour, various types of leather and numerous other upholstery designs.
