Unique piece: with chopping to the Chevrolet Suburban Roadster!

Who is a little bit in the Hot-Rod Anyone familiar with the scene will find that the vast majority of classic hot rods are made up of Ford coupes from the 1930s and of course the Ford Model T. But we came across a pretty original take on a classic American hot rod that is just different. A unique piece as "Roadster“Which is currently for sale even in Michigan. And the basis for the unusual conversion is actually a 1953 Chevrolet Suburban Van. But nothing more can be seen of the van! The Hot Rod devoured more than 100.000 US dollars in conversion costs and apparently was created with an extremely high level of attention to detail. Especially for this vehicle there was a new radiator grille with brushed aluminum, the aprons are also made to match and then there are the beautiful Torq Thrust wheels alloy wheels.

a Chevrolet Suburban as a roadster

They have a visually fitting surface and, in addition to the hand-made footboards as large side skirts, are the eye-catchers in the side view. And the cabin is also unique. You can see a beautiful dashboard with a noble paintwork in body color and instruments from the manufacturer car meter, there was a billet aluminum pedal set, a custom-made Ididit steering wheel with a wooden rim and the full-length center console with four practical cup holders was painstakingly created by hand. And the Roadster even has a spacious rear seat with space for two people. So nothing stands in the way of a family outing or a tour with friends to the nearest car meeting. And what's under the hood? Here, a standard 468-cubic-inch V8 with a 4-cylinder carburetor was installed, there was an MSD ignition, an aluminum intake system, a new aluminum cooler and ceramic-coated exhaust manifold.

Four-speed automatic transmission & rear-wheel drive

The engine is coupled to a Turbo 400 four-speed automatic transmission from General Motors, which transfers the power exclusively to the rear wheels. The chassis was chosen for adjustable air suspension and even a four-link rear suspension as well as modern front disc brakes are installed. However, our personal highlight is definitely the fact that there is nothing left to see from the roof and only the filigree, two-part windshield is supposed to protect a little from the weather. The small details such as the specially made trim on the sides, the removed door handles or the central sports exhaust system only become apparent at second glance or even at a third glance. If we receive timely information on further changes to the 1953 Chevrolet Suburban, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
