The Team of Hofele-Design GmbH The days allowed us to get some information and pictures of a modified Mercedes-Benz GLS which was finalized as the last project. At first glance, everyone will surely think this is the top model GLS63 AMG, but that is not the case. The base vehicle is a GLS 400 which has been optically aligned with the top model. For this purpose, a completely new front bumper was developed which is very similar to the design of the AMG bumper. However, it is a completely new component that sprays much more individuality with high-quality carbon inserts than the AMG bumper.
In addition, the large Mercedes star in the radiator grille was removed and replaced with the in-house Höfele emblem. And there is also a change at the rear because a new rear apron was installed here, including an integrated diffuser and perfectly fitted AMG style tailpipes. And here, too, the GLS no longer bears the star but also the Höfele emblem. The fender flares installed here come directly from AMG and allow enough space for the in-house Hofele-Design rims "Fina" Y-Design in the dimensions 10 × 22 inches all around.
Equipped is the wheelset with tires in the dimensions 285 / 35 R22. And a lot of changes are also in the interior. This is because the GLS has been given a completely new leather interior that lines the entire cabin with quilted and perforated Maybach nappa leather in the color Cognac. Not only the seats are leather-covered, but also the door panels and the center armrest. Finally, the company can also provide an increase in performance (Hofele Dynamic Plus) for the GLS 400 petrol engine and this pushes the SUV on request to about 402 PS / 580 Nm torque.
For us, the Hofele GLS is one of the most elegant vehicles in this segment and the ultimate proof that it does not always have to be an extensive widebody kit with major changes to the bodywork.
