Swedish electric performance car brand Polestar returns to the Goodwood Festival of Speed on June 23, 2022 and will debut a Polestar 5 prototype. Likewise, the new and powerful limited-edition Polestar 2 BST edition 270 will make its debut. The Polestar electric roadster concept vehicle and the existing range will also be on site. "Goodwood is our favorite place to showcase our cars in an enthusiastic environment," said Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar. “This year we are particularly excited to be able to show the Polestar 5 driving up the hill! Our UK R&D team are doing a great job developing the vehicle and we are proud to highlight their hard work at this early stage.”

The Polestar 5 prototype will be on display in the First Glance Paddock and will complete several drives up the hill during the event. Meanwhile, the Polestar main stand will feature Polestar Precept – the concept vehicle from which the Polestar 5 evolves – along with the Polestar electric roadster concept and the Polestar 2 BST edition 270. The recently updated Polestar 2 will be presented on Electric Avenue. In addition to the main event area in Molecomb, Polestar will again be offering its exclusive test drives, which will give those interested the opportunity to book a ride with the Polestar 2 on a closed track on site.

Polestar has unveiled various vehicles at the iconic event over the years - including the prototype Polestar 1 in 2018 and the Experimental Polestar 2 in 2021. The limited edition Polestar 1 in the 'Sun' matte gold livery and the Experimental Polestar 2 will be positioned next to the Polestar 5 prototype in the First Glance paddock, also heading up the hill. In line with the ongoing development of the Polestar 5, the latest episode of the YouTube documentary series Precept: From Concept to Car shows the process of designing the interior of the production vehicle. Polestar intends to list on the Nasdaq as part of a proposed combination with Gores Guggenheim, Inc. (Nasdaq: GGPI, GGPIW and GGPIU), which is expected to close by the end of June 2022.

About Thomas Wachsmuth

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
