So-called Motor swaps (the exchange for a non-standard engine) are particularly at Restomod projects extremely popular! And the mixture of parts from different brands usually always leads to extremely interesting vehicles. And exactly such a mix is this unique piece based on an old one Chevy. Specifically, a classic was used for the complete conversion Chevelle from 1967, which was equipped with modern components. So far so "normal" in the restomod scene. But planting a fat V10 from a Dodge Viper in the engine compartment of the classic and even charging it with a compressor is certainly anything but normal.
Restomod Chevy Chevelle
The special classic sits on a Schwartz Performance chassis with Ridetech air suspension components, which in combination leads to significantly more modern handling compared to the original chassis. There are also modern extras such as a Wilwood disc brake system, Forgeline rims all around, electric windows, a VintageAir air conditioning system or Dakota Digital displays. By the way, make contact with the street Low-profile tires in format 285 and 345.
And then there is the "nice detail" under the hood with the large power dome. There is the 8,3-liter V10 from a Dodge Viper coupled with a Paxton NOVI 2000 supercharged system. According to our information, the engine is connected to a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission, and it should Chevelle to the level of a thoroughbred athlete. Unfortunately, we haven't found any exact performance data yet. That Compressor kit for the 8,3-liter V10 Viper engine, however, an output of around 700 hp and a torque of 858 NM should be achieved.
tinted windows, lowering, etc.
If the numbers mentioned are correct, then we can well imagine how much fun it must be to use the RestomodChevelle to drive. Why? Because all the power is only sent to the rear wheels. Incidentally, the vehicle shows itself with subtle details on the outside, such as flush-mounted door handles from an Oldsmobile Intrigue, LED headlights, side pipes and most of the decorative strips and lettering/emblems from the factory have been removed. The car was sold in November 2022 and has only driven around 3.000 miles (approx. 4.828 km). We are curious to see how much it will sell for. Should we have more information about the changes on Chevelle received, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
