Optima Rivian R1T and R1S with Turtleback trailers!

The Rivian R1T and R1S are electric off-roaders, but they are difficult to charge somewhere in the middle of nowhere. And that's exactly why the Optima team has now found a solution in the form of two robust trailers that can charge the vehicles and also supply various accessories with electricity. To that end, the company has fitted one of the two Turtleback trailers with a lithium-ion battery pack to turn them into Optima Power Stations. They have a Level 2 charger and 12, 110 and 220 volt outlets for powering everything from computers to auxiliary lights. According to Optima, the power stations can charge the vehicles from 0% up to 80% and the trailers can also act as a base camp. This is especially true of the so-called Kitchen-Turtle, which has an electric range, a sink with hot & cold running water, and a 45-gallon water tank. The trailer is also equipped with an extendable solar awning that can be used to charge the battery.

The other trailer is the Utility Turtle, which transports two electric motorcycles and has space for some off-road accessories. Both are fitted with BFGoodrich off-road tires and can be plugged into an outlet for charging. And apart from the trailers, the two vehicles have also received a few modifications. Key features included 20-inch Black Rhino bronze-finish rims and 35-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires. It continues with additional headlights, Overland Ruff Rax luggage racks and roof tents. They have also been fitted with Optima's new OrangeTop HyperCore Lithium Quad 0,89 battery. The duo is rounded off with a suitable full wrap around for the vehicle and trailer. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to.
