Cult caravan with an unmistakable look
Typical touring: With its aerodynamic front and unique body shape, the model series has always remained true to itself in terms of design, and the new generation also follows this tradition. The streamlined tubular steel construction known from aircraft construction comes into play as usual, which ensures pleasant caster characteristics, increased driving safety and lower fuel consumption. Its compact vehicle dimensions, the low overall height of 226 cm and the low overall weight make the Touring a manoeuvrable travel companion that is also suitable for smaller towing vehicles, hybrid and electric cars.
In the new generation, the iconic, timeless design is carried down to the last detail. New add-on parts such as the wheel arch, the rear lights or the license plate holder underline the retro look of the vehicle (also available in chrome look as an option). An extended drawbar in aluminum casing increases driving stability and comfort and makes both assembly and use of the bicycle carrier easier. A straight bottom at the rear results in a reduced exterior look without a rear bend. At the same time, there is more storage space inside, which is easily accessible due to the offset of the bed supports. The tried-and-tested lifting roof with tent fabric windows ensures a pleasant room climate and a comfortable headroom of 195 cm inside the caravan. With the three different exterior colors Carrara White, Crystal Silver and White Silver and seven different layouts, there are no limits to customization and the right vehicle can be found for every need.
Uniqueness in a double pack: The new equipment lines "Legend" and "Urban"
The interior of the Touring shines with a new look and feel, which is dominated by modern furniture decors in two versions: a more classic "Legend" equipment line in darker tones and a more unusual "Urban" line in light colors. The "Biarritz" furniture finish with its fine wood with an elegant grain is particularly characteristic of the Legend variant. Metallic effects in bronze and gold, black-brown, slightly curved metal handles with bronze edges and subtle surface structures - inspired by materials such as marble and stone - also underline the high-quality look inside the vehicle. The additional color "Tip Printed" in a scratch-resistant linen structure, the felt bag made of recycled wool and the wardrobe in embossed, vegan leather with a braided look create a contrast to this.
The "Urban" equipment line is characterized by its unusual quality and the use of materials such as felt and metal in combination with the strong accessory colors "Nugget Gold", "Tango Red" and "Harbour Blue". The "Tindari" furniture decor consists of finely striped, modern wood. The scratch-resistant surface coating with a striking black marble look contrasts with a light side wall decor, a white, matt iridescent flap decor and silver handles on the furniture flaps. As with the Touring "Legend", recycled wool is also used for the felt bag, while the coat rack is available in high-quality nubuck leather look with diamond quilting or smooth leather look with diamond quilting. As usual, there are also a large number of customization options for every taste, for example a large selection of different fabrics.
Smart space miracle despite compact dimensions
Irrespective of the equipment line, the new generation of the Touring impresses with a larger 81-litre absorption refrigerator with 15 percent more capacity and all-round overhead lockers for additional storage space - for the first time with fleece inserts for a modern look. A new lighting concept guarantees the feel-good factor on board. It consists of an indirect ambient light in the corners of the overhead lockers and a multifunctional rechargeable battery light that can be used flexibly as a reading light, torch or ambient light. Additional lighting above the overhead lockers and two additional multifunction lights are optionally available. Thanks to the new changeover switch, the light can now be switched on and off from the entrance as well as from the sleeping area.
Despite its compactness, the kitchen offers plenty of storage space and worktop space. This space is further expanded by the glass cover of the two-burner gas cooker and an optional sink cover. For the first time, a sustainable multifunctional container is used in the kitchen, which can be used for plants, cooking equipment or as a storage container and consists of 94 percent plant-based and organic material. The bathroom is also a miracle of space: a shelf with tensioning straps, a washbasin and a towel holder offer space for all utensils. The height-adjustable mirror moves up and down with the lifting roof; a magnetic magnifying mirror is also new. Shower equipment with a shower head and shower curtain, which can also be used as an outdoor shower, is optionally available.
And sleeping comfort is also a top priority in the new Touring. Depending on the floor plan, there is a transverse or longitudinal bed in the rear or a bunk bed in the front. Alternatively, the opposite seating area can be converted into a place to sleep. In addition to the large wardrobe with clothes rail, there is further storage space under the beds that can be folded up. The new, slightly slanted, optional comfort upholstery in the seating area has a high back and invites you to sit together comfortably. The new multimedia package with a large selection of DAB+ stations and high-quality sound including a Bluetooth connection provides entertainment in the evening or on bad weather days.
