All-wheel drive and 270 diesel hp in the small Skoda Citigo!

The Skoda Citigo is actually known for its maneuverability and economy. Less for a breathtaking performance! But this tuned Citigo is completely different. The vehicle comes from Great Britain and is a real track monster. This is made possible by a different engine, all-wheel drive, a new chassis and a sports brake system. And even the interior has been cleared. Even from the outside it is immediately clear that this is no ordinary Citigo. The 17-inch white rims, which come from the Octavia, look huge on the Citigo and the Intercooler, which looks out from the lower part of the front apron, is an indication that something is wrong here.

It continues with an air opening in the hood, Polycarbonate lenses and an Ducktail spoiler lip at the roof. The interior is also completely empty and with two sports seats and an FIA-certified Roll cage stocked. Incidentally, the tuning package comes from the British company Darkside Developments and the highlight is of course the engine swap.

The tiny 1,0 liter petrol engine was swapped for a heavily modified 2,0 liter TDI turbo diesel with Garrett turbocharger, special exhaust system, nitrous kit and many other components. It's hard to believe that they've actually managed to squeeze an engine almost twice the size under the Citigo's tiny hood.

a maximum of +360 hp are probably even possible

According to Darkside Developments, the engine produces a maximum of 366 hp, but the current owner states that it "only" achieved 274 hp on the test bench. In any case, that's a hefty performance for a vehicle that weighs just 1.160 kg empty. And while the Skoda Citigo actually has front-wheel drive, the tuned model enjoys Haldex all-wheel drive, a Quaife limited-slip differential and a six-speed manual transmission.

And of course the chassis has also been upgraded so that the additional power can also be used effectively. A racetrack-oriented sports chassis is installed, with Eibach springs and several components that come from the VW Golf and a Seat Ibiza. And the brakes are also completely new. A large Brembo system is installed in combination with Porsche brake calipers.

the dwarf is currently for sale

According to the eBay ad, the fast Citigo is racetrack-oriented, but at the same time will probably still be roadworthy. So you can quickly do some errands in the city center after your visit to the racetrack. And the current asking price of £15.500 (approx. €17.700) is actually rather low, in our opinion, given the extensive modifications.
