We are convinced that a GMC pickup, especially one of the first ones, always looks good. It doesn't matter if he's perfect restauriert or largely original, or perhaps on special aftermarket rims and with Patina on the body panels. The loading master from days long past is always impressive. This 1963 GMC pickup is exactly one such vehicle. It was built by Hive Garage of Salt Lake City (Utah/USA) and was on display at the Toyo Treadpass booth at SEMA 2022. The two-seater has an eye-catching two-tone paint scheme, with the lower body panels being turquoise and the roof and cabin being white. In addition, the body is covered with patina and there are also a few successful chrome details such as on the window frames, the rear-view mirrors, the aprons and the windshield wipers.

Other highlights include a Sidepipe sport exhaust system , and a Airride air suspension by Air Lift Performance. The optical highlight for us are clearly the noble forged ML-R1 rims from Vossen Wheels. The wheelset is not just modern vehicles like one Mercedes S-Classto Audi RS3 sedan or a Dodge Viper, even a pickup truck that is almost sixty years old can be equipped with it. With the silver finish and multi-spoke design, the wheels give the GMC just the right amount of style. They look new and individual, but at the same time are not overly flashy or even obtrusive. Vossen offers the ML-R1 in various diameters, from 19 to 24 inches. However, the prices only start at a hefty $1.900 per bike. That's a statement, of course!

And on we go with what can be found on the bed of the GMC pickup. Two dirt bikes are attached there, but they are not powered by a combustion engine. Rather, they are powerful, fully electric companions from Cake, a Swedish manufacturer of motorcycles. The company has also partnered with Polestar and only recently has the second limited edition of the CAKE Makka electric scooter released.

However, due to the ride height, the pickup bed is largely non-existent, which means that the EV bikes are mounted more on a platform than a classic bed. With the turquoise look and the accents, which are also kept in white, they match the GMC perfectly. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
