It seems that caravanning as a form of holiday is still very popular even after Corona and the trend towards motorhomes is even increasing again. Compared to the previous year, there was an overall increase of 3,1 percent in new registrations of leisure vehicles in the first quarter. Although the number of new registrations of caravans fell by 5,1 percent, the number of new registrations of mobile homes rose by 5,7 percent. The Caravaning Industry Association sees the results as the first indication of a recovery in motorhome production from the challenges of the previous year.
Holiday with the mobile home
The number of visitors at the latest caravanning fairs also shows that the motorhome trend is increasing again. Newcomers in particular still seem to be very interested, which is reflected in the high demand for rental vehicles at the start of the season. Renting motorhomes or caravans is a common way to start a mobile holiday. The improved availability of the vehicles makes the motorhome industry optimistic for the current year. Many manufacturers now offer a broader selection of brands for the basic vehicles, which has improved the delivery situation compared to the previous year.
