The Lower Saxony mobile home rental company Hannes Camper is now also entering the manufacturing sector. In cooperation with the Slovenian panel van expert Robeta two compact vehicles with full equipment were created. These have been available since January. With the goal of building his own camper van with a living area in the style of a boutique hotel, Hannes-Camper is expanding the business field. The vehicles could be seen at the 2023 leisure fair CMT in Stuttgart. The focus was on the premiere of two camper vans based on the Citroën Jumper. Concept, design and prototypes were developed in cooperation with the partner Robeta developed in Slovenia, where series production also takes place. The Lower Saxony promise a "Premium extension with a feel-good atmosphere, modern style, high-quality equipment and all-inclusive concept". The vehicles have been available and deliverable since January, which is rare in the industry, which is still plagued by delivery bottlenecks.
All-inclusive package as a differentiator
You can choose from the compact "Hannes" with a total length of 6 meters and transverse bed in the rear and the larger "Big Hannes", which is 6,40 meters long and has two longitudinal beds installed in the rear. This is so far common - as is the layout with the front seating group including swiveling front seats, side kitchen and shower-toilet room. Only with the all-inclusive equipment package, which according to the company should offer customers a price advantage of over €15.000, does the Hannes camper differ from most of its competitors.
Frame windows, water pressure pump, diesel parking heater, reversing camera, awning, navigation infotainment including multimedia technology, USB ports throughout the vehicle, aluminum rims, outdoor shower and much more that can otherwise be found in the surcharge lists are already standard in this case board. There are only four extras. There would be a solar system, a 230-volt inverter, a satellite TV system and a pop-up roof. A dimmable lighting package, a kitchen with elegant, matt black Grohe household fittings, a washbasin made of real glass in the bathroom as well as high-quality textiles and perfectly built-in lightweight furniture ensure a pleasant ambience in the interior.
it starts at €75.900
The short "Hannes" is gone 75.900 € available, the "Big Hannes" costs against it 3.000 € more. Both are offered exclusively with the most powerful variant of the 2,2-liter Blue HDI engine and 165 hp. The production of several hundred camper vans is planned for 2023, with 50 percent alone being integrated into Hannes Camper's rental fleet. Photo credit: Hannes Camper
