The Forza 750's rear turn signals have an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) feature. At a negative acceleration of 6,0 m/s2 and a minimum speed of 53 km/h with the brake applied at the same time, the hazard warning lights flash to warn other road users of an abrupt stop. The direction indicators are self-resetting. This function is not controlled by a simple timer, but uses the on-board electronics to measure the wheel revolutions on the front and rear wheels when turning and changing lanes. The detection of the driving dynamics and the situation allows a meaningfully adapted and therefore practical resetting of the turn signal function, which contributes to increased driving safety.

Motor

- 58,6 hp (43,1 kW) power at 6.750 rpm, 69 Nm torque at 4.750 rpm
– Throttle by wire throttle grip/motor management
- Consumption 3,6 liters per 100km (WMTC), Euro 5 compliant
– With 48 hp (35 kW) also A2 driver’s license capable

The Forza 8's liquid-cooled, SOHC, 750-valve, parallel-twin design delivers amazing low-midrange power. The design with a long stroke and specially modeled combustion chambers, in conjunction with plenty of crankshaft centrifugal mass, ensures plenty of power and high torque. Smooth running and power output support driving pleasure to a particularly high degree. The peak power is 58,6 hp (43,1 kW) at 6.750 rpm, the maximum torque is 69 Nm at 4.750 rpm. The Forza 50 sprints 750 meters from a standing start in just 3,9 seconds. At a speed of 60 km, the twin's crankshaft rotates at just 2.500 revolutions per minute, which supports relaxed cruising.

Two balancer shafts eliminate unwanted vibrations. Thanks to the crankshaft offset by 270° and the characteristic ignition interval, the engine of the Forza 750 shines with a pleasant, gently pulsating running culture. Bore and stroke are 77 x 80 mm.
Some components are designed to handle multiple tasks at the same time. The camshaft also drives the water pump, while one of the balancer shafts also drives the oil pump. The constructive minimization of the moving engine parts makes the modern twin engine light, efficient and reliable. A 2kW (35hp) version is available for A48 license holders, which can be upgraded to full capability by a Honda dealer in due course. The work for this includes replacing the throttle body and installing new control unit mappings. The Forza 750 meets the Euro 5 standard and consumes just 3,6 liters of fuel per 100 km (in WMTC measurement mode). With the 13,2 liter tank, this results in a range of 370 km.

Engine electronics

- Throttle by wire management with 3 standard riding modes and user mode
- Three-level adjustable, sensitive HSTC traction control

Thanks to the Throttle by Wire technology, the driver can choose between three driving modes to adapt the engine characteristics to the respective driving conditions. The selection is made using the left-hand switch panel on the handlebars and shown accordingly on the TFT cockpit display. STANDARD results in a balanced, everyday mix of power output, engine braking and HSTC traction control intervention plus sensitive ABS function.

SPORT means the most dynamic power development possible and full engine braking with minimal intervention by the HSTC traction control plus sensitive ABS function. RAIN causes the smoothest possible power development and less pronounced engine braking with simultaneous earlier intervention by HSTC traction control and ABS. USER enables any individual setup. Power delivery and engine braking can be set from low to medium or high, as can HSTC traction control. The practice-oriented fine tuning of the HSTC traction control controls the possible grip on the rear wheel in three stages thanks to throttle-by-wire management:

  • Level 1 allows the least possible intervention of the system for still permissible slip on the rear wheel.
  • Level 2 is the default setting and provides confident traction (without loss of grip or slippage) for almost any driving condition on normal-grip pavement.
  • Level 3 offers maximum control on slippery asphalt, such as in the rain.

The HSTC traction control can also be switched off.

DCT dual clutch transmission

– Different shift patterns depending on the selected driving mode
– User mode with 4 basic settings to choose from

Honda's unique DCT dual clutch technology is now in its thirteenth year of production. Since its introduction for the 2010 season, over 200.000 DCT equipped motorcycles have been sold in Europe. The dual-clutch transmission makes motorcycling easier by automatically changing gears. The electronic-hydraulic control of the system also takes care of the metered actuation of the clutch to move off. That's why machines with DCT can do without a clutch lever. Simply twisting the throttle after a riding mode is activated is all it takes to set off. The amazingly uncomplicated and simple operation quickly becomes a pleasant matter of course for drivers, which many are reluctant to do without.

Technically, the DCT system uses two clutches: one for starting and for gears one, three and five; the other for second, fourth, and sixth gears. Both clutches are controlled electronically-hydraulically. With automated shifting, the system selects the next gear using the currently open clutch. While this closes electronically, the other opens at the same time – so that the newly selected gear can engage without any interruption in traction. The result is smooth, quick and seamless gear changes. The double clutch transmits only minimal interruptions in drive to the rear wheel. This minimizes jolting and pitching movements of the machine, and gear changes are direct and smooth. Additional advantages are: Stress-free driving in the city prevents slacking of alertness and it is easier to concentrate on driving and the other traffic. Not only is accidental stalling when starting off thanks to DCT, but also shifting when changing gears, which as an added bonus rules out possible damage to the transmission gears.

The top model of the scooter series: 2023 Honda Forza 750!

The DCT system offers two modes of operation. On the one hand, the automatic setting (AT) with pre-programmed shift patterns, which constantly monitors the speed, the selected gear and the engine speed in order to automatically control the optimal shifting process. On the other hand, the manual operating mode (MT) for targeted gear changes via the shift paddles on the left of the handlebar fitting. Through the connection to the electronically controlled Ride by Wire throttle grip, the automated DCT shift patterns are linked to the selected driving mode. In the automatic mode of the Forza 750 there are four different shift patterns with three default settings:

Level 1 is the most relaxed and is used in combination with the Rain mode. Stages 2 and 4 only shift to the next gear at higher engine speeds and are linked to the Standard and Sport driving modes. A fourth DCT switching pattern can be selected using User mode. In terms of engine characteristics, this falls between the Standard and Sport driving modes. In the individually adjustable User mode, it is possible to combine each of the four DCT shift patterns with the preferred settings of the parameters power delivery, engine braking and HSTC traction control.
