Rugged cliffs, deep valleys, raging rivers and the dreamlike Mediterranean coast form the challenging terrain of the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy from September 04th to 10th, 2022 in Albania. The country is still considered a real insider tip for off-road adventures and this year 126 examples of the R 1250 GS Trophy Competition, which was specially set up for this event, will be available to the participating Enduro pilots from all over the world.

Superior drive power and tailor-made equipment for challenging adventures in the most difficult terrain.

While the BMW F 2020 GS was used as a competition vehicle at the last International GS Trophy 850, BMW Motorrad is returning to this year's edition with the R 1250 GS Trophy Competition back to the boxer engine - and thus to original, always sovereign power, beefy torque and maximum traction for the sometimes very demanding off-road passages, in which you mainly have to drive in the lower gears.

In addition to an exclusive two-tone paintwork in Lightwhite non-metallic / Gravityblue metallic matt in combination with specially designed GS Trophy stickers, the R 1250 GS Trophy Competition starts the seven-day adventure with a whole range of changes made especially for competition use. For the 2023 model year, the R 1250 GS will also be offered in this two-tone finish.

This year's BMW International GS Trophy Competition Bike has, among other things, a robust enduro engine protection made of aluminum, a headlight protection, cylinder head covers specially protected against damage and a TFT display protected against falls and stone chips. The particularly robust enduro footrests from the R 1250 GS Adventure as well as adjustable shift and foot brake levers are also due to the forthcoming tough off-road use. For the best possible grip on difficult terrain, the cross-spoke wheels are fitted with deep-treaded Metzeler Karoo 4 tires, which replace the standard Karoo 3 tires. A sports windshield, rally seat and Akrapovic rear silencer complete the equipment of the competition vehicle.

Tank bag Adventure Collection Small as a practical companion during long, strenuous days of driving.

Finally, with the 5 liter small tank bag from the new Adventure Bag Collection, the International GS Trophy participants have a practical place to store all kinds of utensils and some food for the road. Thanks to tie-down straps, it is used as a tail bag in the R 1250 GS Trophy Competition. A waterproof inner bag, water-repellent and lockable two-way zips on the main compartment, a zipped lid pocket and a cable passage for a charging cable to the inside are other useful details of the Adventure Collection Small tank bag.

His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
