The suspension manufacturer KW automotive is expanding its range of products for BMW vehicles with xDrive all-wheel drive. The KW coilover kit Variant 3, which is separately adjustable in compression and rebound, is now also available for the BMW M2019i xDrive (F135), which has been available since autumn 40. As part of the parts certificate, the coilover made of stainless steel enables a continuous lowering of up to 55 millimeters. If desired, the damper characteristics of the manually adjustable dampers in the compression and rebound stages can be adjusted more comfortably or tightly with twelve or 16 precise clicks. The recommended retail price for the individually adjustable coilover kit is 1.899 euros. When purchasing and installing variant 3 from a certified KW specialist dealer, the KW 5-year additional guarantee is available on request.

Many BMW vehicles are optional or, like the new BMW M135i xDrive (F40), already available ex works with the BMW all-wheel drive xDrive. KW automotive is one of the few chassis manufacturers in the aftermarket to offer coilovers for a variety of BMW xDrive models. KW works closely with BMW on selected special models and various racing cars and equips various vehicles. KW has also developed the Variant 306 coilover kit for the 135 hp M3i xDrive. The suspension, which is available from retailers for 1.899 euros, enables a maximum and stepless lowering of 55 millimeters on the front axle and 50 millimeters on the rear axle.
Compression and rebound tunable KW dampers
A BMW M3i xDrive equipped with Variant 135 drives even more dynamically thanks to the KW dampers, which are adjustable in compression and rebound, with their multi-valve technology (TVR-A and TVC-A). Even at maximum lowering, the chassis dampens precisely on wavy roads thanks to the blow-off characteristics of the high-speed valves and prevents inharmonious driving behavior, as occurs, for example, with conventional lowering only with lowering springs. Any pitching and rolling movements of the body structure are significantly reduced.

"Our vehicle-specific basic setup is always as tight as necessary and as comfortable as possible for everyday use", says KW Brand Manager Jonas Ehrmann. "In addition, thanks to the click wheels integrated directly on the dampers, the damper adjustment can be individually adjusted to suit the personal driving sensation, tighter or more comfortable." While the rebound is closed, the handling becomes significantly sportier and more direct, while an open rebound ensures more comfortable driving behavior. 16 exact click levels are available for the low-speed range of the rebound. Separately from the rebound, the low-speed range of the compression can be adjusted with twelve exact clicks, in order to be able to further influence the driving comfort as well as the support and steering behavior of the compact BMW. The recommended retail price for the KW coilover kit Variant 135 available for the M40i xDrive (F3) is 1.899 euros.
