450 PS in B & B Automotive VW Golf VII GTI TCR

With the VW Golf VII GTI TCR (Touring Car Racing) the Wolfsburg have brought the best for last! Shortly before the introduction of the VW Golf VIII (MK8), the “7 Series” was given a worthy finish. And the TCR is, as it were, an upgrade of the Golf GTI Performance and impresses with its factory 290 PS & 380 NM, seven-speed dual clutch transmission, an automatic limited-slip differential and whoever wants can even get semi-slicks in the 235/35 R 19 format (series: 225/40 R. 18) ex works. However, the team from B&B Automobiltechnik was of the opinion that a lot more should be done here. The result is a total of 4 increases in performance and, if desired, an improved look. In the strongest of the 4 expansion stages, it goes up to 450 PS & 580 Nm, which ensures that the sprint to 100 km / h is reduced from 5,6 seconds to only 4,5 seconds. At 200 km / h the result is even more impressive. Here the time is reduced from 20,8 seconds to an incredible 13,2 seconds.

Top speed over 280 km / h

This one drives the Touring Car Racing from the racing series up and away. And B&B is also stepping up in terms of top speed. It increases from a regulated 250 (260) km / h to +280 km / h. To achieve the huge leap in performance, of course, it takes more than just a simple chip tuning. The new software is joined by a special turbocharger with a large intake, a special oil cooling system is installed, there was a high-performance intercooler, a special racing exhaust system with a sports catalytic converter and downpipe, and the intake paths and the air duct must also be optimized. B&B also increases the boost pressure and readjusts the injection maps. And the software for the DSG transmission also comes from the tuner B&B. And the GTI TCR is even made more dynamic visually.

The tuner installs the B&B / KW coilover kit V3 on request (optional sports springs are available) that can be adjusted in height, rebound and compression and also has the in-house B & B light alloy wheel B10 in the format 8,5 x 20 inches with 235 / 30-20 tires for the TCR in its range. Alternatively, 18 or 19 inch versions can also be ordered here. If you want to install the B & B high-performance brake system with discs in the format 370 mm, at least 19 inchers are required. But here too there are other options and so B&B offers a variant with a brake disc size of 342 millimeters for vehicles with 18 inch aluminum. The other performance levels are Stage 3 for 400 PS / 520 Nm, Stage 2 for 360 PS & 470 Nm and finally Stage 1 enables an increase in performance to 340 PS & 450 Nm.   • all power levels with cancellation of the Vmax limitation and electronic adjustment of the DSG
  • optionally available: B&B special downpipe with sports catalytic converter (additional power about 11 kW / 15 PS)
  • optional sound system with remote control
  • Lowering
    - B & B sport spring set (about 30 mm)
    - B&B / KW coilover kit V3 (adjustable in height, rebound and compression)
  • B&B high-performance brake system with brake disc size on the front axle of 342 mm (optional sizes up to 370mm)
  • B&B light alloy wheel B10 (VA + HA 8,5 × 20 inches, 235 / 30-20 tires, other light alloy wheels in 18 ″ + 19 ″ inches)
