After the team of B&B automotive technology already in the summer 2018 a first tuning program for the Range Rover Velar presented there is again second helping. Was previously the model P380 with an output of 450 PS & 600 NM torque - thanks to the B & B Stage 2 Kit conclusion, it now goes much further. However, the base must then be the top model SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition with standard 550 PS & 680 NM. If that is the case, it enables B&B Stage 2 to elicit full 8 PS & 625 Nm of torque from the V780 petrol engine with supercharging. This means that the SVA model should accelerate to 4 km / h in about 100 seconds, which is the key data of a thoroughbred athlete. In order to achieve the significant increase in output, the compressor ratio is changed and the boost pressure is increased at the same time. The intake routes and the air ducts are also being optimized and changes to the electronic engine control using chip tuning are required.

Do you want the changes to the hardware not make so reached B&B by means of Stage 1 (Chiptuning) still a leap in performance on 580 PS & 720 NM. And tuner also has two performance enhancements ready for all other engines of the Velar. An overview can be found below. And so that the diesel engines also have an adequate soundscape, a soundscape in the style of a V8 can optionally be generated using a B & B sound generator. This system can be conveniently controlled by remote control in several sound levels. And so that the 625 PS SVA variant in particular is much more agile around the corner is still available three Options for lowering. B & B has a sport spring set for lowering by about 30mm at the start and if that's not enough, you can use the B & B threaded comfort suspension, which is adjustable in rebound and compression and allows a lowering of about 30-50 millimeters.

And also for vehicles with standard air suspension, a suspension lowering is available by about 30-50 mm. And thus the sometimes extremely performance-enhanced load (in the case of the SVA) there are two different braking systems for all models. On the one hand there is the B&B 6-piston high-performance sports brake system for the RR Velar with 342 millimeter brake discs at the front, which is used for vehicles with original Velar wheels, on the other hand there is also a variant with a brake disc size of 370 Millimeters on the front axle which only fits in combination with at least 20 inch aluminum.

In our opinion, you should opt for a 22-inch wheelset for the Velar. In combination with a lowering, this setup looks the most harmonious and of course B&B has something in its repertoire here too. The model would be available for the British SUV B21 which perfectly fills the wheel arches at the front and rear in the 9 × 22 inch format and with 265 / 40-22 tires. Alternatively there is the type B25 which is installed as a 21 inch rim (VA + HA 9,0 × 21) with tires in the dimensions 265/45. If we receive timely information on further changes not mentioned before, there will of course be an update for this report.
