Let’s talk about a “real” performance increase – especially on the BMW 530d. With the N57 six-cylinder, which has been used in models from the 2008 Series to the X3 since 6, BMW has already made a good impression. The engine's inherent performance is between 204 and 381 hp, but there's more! Now this is coming TurboZentrum in the game. With the Stage 2 turbocharger upgrade turn the power up to full 410 PS. That's a decent performance increase, especially for the smaller single-turbo variants of the N57, like those found in the E9x 25d and F10 30d. But what exactly is the Stage 2 upgrade? At its core, it's about something bigger compressor (wheel). Sounds simple, but the implementation is anything but. It starts with a calculation of the wheel dimensions and contours that both fit into the compressor housing and harmonize with the rest of the turbo, primarily the exhaust shaft.

The cool thing about it? The TurboCenter uses the ability to Mill compressor wheels according to your own specificationsto extract maximum power delivery, responsiveness and top-end performance. And it gets even better: The upgrade puts less strain on the turbo, as it delivers the standard air mass at lower turbocharger speeds - a clear plus for durability. And besides milling the Compressor housing That too will be to the necessary extent gap size optimized and to top it all off, they all include Stage 2 upgrades strengthened bearings, to extend the life of the turbocharger and support increased performance. You can even send in a used turbo to have it optimized. In short, with the Stage 2 upgrade from TurboZentrum the 530d becomes a diesel rocket.
