1968 Chevrolet Camaro "Restomod" with 6-liter V8!

And once again we have found a wonderful Restomod conversion for you. And again this is on Bring a trailer and can be bought under the auction number Lot # 38319. The 68 Chevy was the darling of the drag racing scene in the 1980s and has won countless races. But this copy would probably have driven everything in the ground back then. Why? Because under the hood sits a 1-liter V6,0 charged with the ProCharger D-8SC Supercharger, which is coupled to a T56 Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a 9-inch rear axle with a Truetrac limited-slip differential. Thanks to electronic fuel injection from FiTech and an air-to-air intercooler, the engine generates a hefty 577 hp and a torque of impressive 732 NM, which also explains why a roll cage is installed behind the front seats. This vehicle wants to be on the racetrack and you should never start there without a roll cage.

Acoustically, the Chevy reports with a sports exhaust system with Detroit Speed manifolds, DynoMax Ultra Flo silencers and 3-inch pipes. The load is braked with a sports brake system from Baer with 6 pistons on the front and rear axles and large ventilated XTR discs. The Chevy was rebuilt and restored in 2017 and is now said to be worth over $ 100.000. The project was the work of a tuner in Washington state by the name Chris Holstrom Concepts. And in addition to the subtle visual upgrade, they are also responsible for the massive modifications to the engine. After the body was removed from the old paint, except for the sheet metal, there was a comprehensive "cosmetic operation", which does not affect the familiar shape of the Camaro from 1968. The light green metallic paint (Honda Metallic Green / Gold) covers the sheet metal all around and even enjoys a light artificial patina.
