They impressively demonstrate why Ferrari is still the ultimate in the world of luxury and performance. What makes them even more exclusive is the limited production: only 799 hard tops and 599 convertibles are available, which makes the models directly coveted collector's items. Under the hood of the two is the well-known BiTurbo 4.0 liter V8from three electric motors supported - two for the front axle and one positioned between the engine and transmission. The combination of the power packs brings it to an overall performance of now 1.030 PS – a significant leap compared to the 999 hp of the standard SF90 Stradale.
Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale & Spider
The SF8 XX Stradale's V90 alone now performs 797 PS compared to the 780 hp of the "normal" SF90 vehicles. The improvement is due to a number of technical innovations. The engine is new Piston, specific edits of combustion chambers and polished Inlet and outlet channels. Furthermore, that became intake brought closer to the cabin wall to direct more engine noise into the interior. And the Secondary air system was removed to save 3,5 kilograms of weight. The electric motors have also been improved and now have an output of 233 hp. The battery capacity remains the same 7,9 kWh, enabling a range of 25 kilometers in pure electric mode. The top speed in EV mode is unchanged 135 km/h.
Evolved design: Aggressiveness meets elegance
But the SF90 XX Stradale and SF90 XX Spider have not only been optimized under the hood, but also on the outside. With a more aggressive appearance, they attract attention. a bigger one front splitter directs the air under the car and channels the airflow to the redesigned underbody. In combination with other aerodynamic optimizations, the vehicles produce over 250 km/h 45 kg more downforce than the standard model.
Further changes affect in particular: Sprouting on the front fenders and new ones air intakes at the stern. is particularly noticeable the fixed rear wing – the first time since the F50 that a road-legal Ferrari has one fitted as standard. With all the changes, the two generate an impressive downforce of at 250 km/h 530 kg, which significantly improves driving stability and road holding.
Interior: luxury meets racing atmosphere
But not only the external appearance is impressive. Also the inner space The SF90 XX model stands up to comparison and impresses with its luxurious equipment. In addition, the selector lever is placed further forward, which ensures more ergonomics and an optimized driving experience.
At first glance, the seats appear to be one piece, but elastic panels connect the upper and lower sections, allowing occupants to recline the backrest. This combines the racing feeling of a fixed sports seat with comfort. And the SF90 XX Spider is similar to the SF90 XX Stradale, with one key difference: the open roof. This can be opened in just 14 seconds! However, some of the air inlets that can be found on the rear deck of the coupe had to give way for the convertible model.
