At the beginning of the year, Toyota already introduced us to the small but very powerful one GR Racing pleased. A real "Hot Hatch" from the in-house tuner Gazoo Racing (also known as the Group's racing division) with 1,6 liter turbo engine and enormous 261 PS & 360 NM torque. And the dwarf with the abbreviation GR can now also be equipped with any number of accessories that have just been presented in Japan. Let's start with the visual changes to the little Japanese. The front apron is optionally given a large front spoiler, which reduces the ground clearance by approx. 1,2 centimeters and there are matching side skirts and a particularly aggressive rear. Here the apron is given four fat tailpipes to underpin the sporty claim. Incidentally, the components for the body are all in glossy black.

And a number of additional optical upgrades are also available. For example, chic carbon license plate frames at the front and rear, body stripes (decorative stripes) to stick on and even new GR valve caps are available. And even a number of accessory parts for the interior of the Yaris GR have been thought up. For example, there are now special floor mats, there is a protective luggage compartment mat for the trunk and various interior panels on the dashboard and door panels with a carbon-like appearance are also available. There is also a massive strut bar for the engine compartment, which with its red edges is also a visual upgrade and goes well with the red engine cover ex works. Finally there is a Gazoo data recording device that can be connected directly to the USB hub of the GR Yaris in order to be able to analyze all important performance data using a special computer application.
Chiptuning not (yet) available
Gazoo does not (yet) have an increase in performance, but the factory-fitted 261 PS (192 KW), which in the European version even culminates in 272 PS (200 KW), should be more than sufficient. After all, the power reaches all four wheels and propels only 1.280 kilograms including manual transmission. Driving fun is guaranteed. And that various third-party suppliers will soon be tampering with the engine of the GR Yaris should also be guaranteed. With a chip tuning you should reach 300 PS and over 400 NM without any problems. If we receive information on further changes in a timely manner, there will of course be an update for this report.
