Nothing quite captures the spirit of a good old horse story these days, especially when it comes to the kind of horses we truly love – Horsepower, packed in an iconic Mustang. The performance company Hennessey has set itself the task of taking the 2024 model generation of the Ford Mustang Dark Horse, which is already strong ex works, to the next level. With the standard V8 (the fourth generation of the famous 5,0 liter Coyote) and factory 500 PS & 567 Nm torque that seems to be quite a challenge though. But what may be a challenge for many is just the beginning of an exciting adventure for Hennessey Performance.
Hennessey Ford Mustang Dark Horse
With an extra compressors and new, stronger ones Injectors, paired with a high performance intake and a powerful new one fuel pump, the performance of the Mustang Dark Horse is on whopping 850 PS and 884 Nm torque increased. But the improvements go far beyond the pure increase in performance. Of course it will also be a new one Software (H850) introduced for engine management, which is matched to the new hardware. According to our information, the upgrades fit both the Six-speed Tremec manual transmission as well as to ten-speed automatic from Ford. And if you think that's all, you're wrong! Hennessey has also given the Mustang a small visual upgrade. The Dark Horse gets new ones side skirts, a front splitter and one rear spoiler, all made of fine carbon fiber.
Forged Rims, attention grabbing Body graphics and special Emblems complete the package on the outside. Inside remember embroidered headrests to the skill of the Hennessey team. The whole becomes as "H850" package sold and comes with a solid 3 year or 36.000 mile warranty. Hennessey plans to launch the first of the tuned Mustangs in fourth quarter of 2023 to bring to the streets. The base Mustang Dark Horse is currently priced at $59.270 and the premium version is $63.265. However, with Hennessey's adjustments, he becomes a true racehorse and is definitely worth every penny.
