who at BMW-XM (G09) with its mighty 653 hp thinks it has already reached the end of the road, you might be surprised! Although the XM already ranks in the top 3 of the most powerful production BMWs of all time - behind the i7 M70 and the exquisite XM Label Red – see the specialists from RaceChip in Göppingen is by no means the end. For them, the hybrid drive of the XM still harbors undreamt-of powers, which of course they don't want to leave untapped. The team from Göppingen has big plans and is planning to take the BMW XM to an impressive level 829 PS to tune so that it even outperforms the XM Label Red. And as for the torque? Instead of the standard 800 Newton meters, they target a torque of rich 940 NM at. A look at the recently published performance and torque diagram from RaceChip shows: With the tuning, they surpass the standard values over almost the entire speed range. The noticeable effects of performance optimization?

A Facebook post from RaceChip provides the answer. The time it takes to sprint from 100 to 200 km/h is shortened by an impressive 1,5 seconds. Without the tuning, the sprint for the series XM takes around 9,80 seconds, but with the additional power of 176 hp thanks to RaceChip, it only races in 8,25 seconds to 200 km/h. It also becomes interesting when comparing the distances covered during acceleration: The standard XM needs more than 430 meters, while the tuned hybrid already reaches 365 km/h after only about 200 meters. And of course the tuned SUV also accelerates beyond the brand! Would RaceChip dare to try the Label Red? If we get more information, there will of course be an update for this report.
