The "Auto e Moto d'Epoca" in the northern Italian city of Padua is one of the largest trade fairs for historic automobiles and motorcycles in Europe. The 39th edition, which will take place from 20th to 23rd October 2022, will be the setting for the official presentation of the "Alfa Romeo Classiche" programme. Under this name, the cult brand bundles comprehensive services for everything to do with classic vehicles. For the first time, a top manager from the Stellantis Group is directly involved in the activities. The Certification Committee will be chaired by the CEO of Alfa Romeo, together with the Head of the Heritage Department, supported by the Alfa Romeo Factory Museum. The museum's archives in particular are of great importance for the work of "Alfa Romeo Classiche". After all, the production registers and all the technical documentation from the history of the brand are kept here, which are used by the certification committee to analyze the vehicles examined.

The main components of the "Alfa Romeo Classiche" program are the certificate of origin, which the Heritage department has been offering for Alfa Romeo vehicles since 2016, as well as the certificate of authenticity and comprehensive restoration services. Alfa Romeo's top management chairs the panel that evaluates the historic vehicles and issues the certificates, with the support of the Heritage team and recognized experts in Alfa Romeo history.

The Certificate of Origin

Alfa Romeo offers the opportunity to discover the history of each vehicle through its VIN number. The service provides for a close examination of the documents in the brand's production registers and the issuance of a certificate certifying the year of production and the original configuration of the vehicle: model specifications, engine serial number, original exterior and interior details.

The Certificate of Authenticity

The basis of the certificate of authenticity is a detailed analysis of a historic vehicle, a review of its production data and a comparison with the technical specifications documented in the archive upon delivery. Based on this evaluation, Alfa Romeo, with the support of the Heritage department, ideally certifies the authenticity of the classic car. During certification, the vehicle goes through a rigorous inspection and assessment process conducted by a specialized team. In addition to the originality of the vehicle and its components, the most important functions are also checked. The vehicle can be viewed at the Officine Classiche in Mirafiori or directly at the customer's home, depending on your preference, or at Stellantis & You sales and service partners in Rome and Palermo.

Restorations

The same team that looks after the unique collection of historic vehicles is also available to private customers for restorations. The services offered range from simple maintenance to complete restoration, from diagnosis to body restoration or repair of individual vehicle components to final inspection.

Dedicated section on the official Alfa Romeo website

A separate section on Alfa Romeo's international website is dedicated to the new "Alfa Romeo Classiche" programme. Here, owners of historic vehicles can find out about, among other things, certificates of authenticity and restoration offers. The website thus becomes the first point of contact when looking for services and support for everything to do with your own Alfa Romeo classic car. Photo credit: Alfa Romeo
