And again we see a tuned MLB Evo platform from the Volkswagen Group that has been adapted for the SUV format on the quarter mile. The basis this time is not the VW Touareg, it is not the Bentley Bentayga or the Lamborghini Urus. It is Ingolstadt's flagship SUV, the RS Q8. And it has to compete against its technical relative in the form of the Urus SUV and also against a Tesla Model X P100D. However, this should be difficult in series production. But this specimen with around 800 hp has a better chance. Can an RS Q8 with an increase in performance compete with the Lamborghini Urus, which is almost twice as expensive? And how does it look against the electrically powered Tesla Model X P100D? Brooks from DragTimes found out.
a defect in the Model X was to blame
But he also found that something was apparently wrong with the electric SUV that Tesla is currently investigating. If everything works, a P100D Model X will actually cover the quarter mile in 11,28 seconds and at 118,3 miles per hour (approx. 190 km / h). However, this specimen takes 12,32 seconds and was only 99,41 miles per hour (approx. 160 km / h) fast. And the Audi RS Q8? He made the run a full second faster and at a much higher speed. Namely at 119,75 miles per hour (approx. 193 km / h). And in the second drag race, the Model X was even slower. The time was 12,53 seconds and 96,94 miles per hour (about 156 km / h). And the Urus? It doesn't do better either!
