Almost 1 months ago, it's back to us to give you the RS5 Sportback from TAG Motorsports with ABT Bodykit and Vossen Alus as ABT RS5-R Sportback presented. The Ingolstadt showed itself in the chic Nardograu and already in February it was known that also this variant of ABT, like the RS5-R Coupe, will be limited to 50 vehicles. However, this was not an official presentation in February by ABT-Sportsline. But now we have again pictures of the ABT RS5-R Sportback achieved which could be described as an official presentation. At least for the USA. Although the pictures seem to be from TAG Motorsports again, this time only ABT components can be found on the RS5. Reason enough to introduce the Ingolstadt limousine again.
2019 Audi RS5 Sportback as RS5-R
Incidentally, we are pretty sure that this is one and the same vehicle. The black RS radiator grille with carbon frame carries the RS5-R emblem now however in body color (before in red) and in addition there were still sporty carbon canards for the front apron. The most noticeable change compared to the variant from February is however in any case the now installed ABT Sportsline wheelset. The RS5-R stands on beautiful ABT SPORT GR forged wheels in 21 inches. The wheel set comes with a high-gloss finish in black and sits thanks to subtle lowering by means of coil springs and new sports stabilizers on both axles perfectly in the wheel arch. With high probability ABT Sportsline will lead the RS5-R Sportback also in this country soon on its Website.
Carbon, carbon, carbon - typically ABT
The performance model will be available in Germany from mid-2019, but Audi is already accepting orders. By the way, ABT can also deliver the increase in performance of the 2,9-liter biturbo V6 with an additional control unit to 510 hp and 690 Nm for the Sportback. The additional 60 PS & 90 Nm ensure an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3,9 seconds and the RS5-R only reaches the top speed at well over 300 km / h if desired. Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures of the interior yet, but here too the changes are identical to the coupe. The Sportback also gets the carbon gear knob, the "1 of 50" badge and various Abt logos as well as stylish door sills with lighting. If we receive information on further changes in a timely manner, there will of course be an update for this report.
