The new Audi Q5 FY has been on the market since January of this year and the current top model is the SQ5 TFSI with 354 PS & 500 NM torque. Equipped with an 8-speed tiptronic, all-wheel drive but also an ample curb weight of 1945 kg, the 3.0l six-cylinder bi-turbo (CWGD) accelerates in just 5,4 seconds to 100 km / h and only at an electronically sealed 250 km / h the advance is put to an end. But performance fetishists can now sit up and take notice because Abt Sportsline has given the SQ5 a performance cure that ensures the additional 71 PS and 50 Newton meters of torque (new control unit - power module "New Generation") work in the Ingolstadt SUV. After all, the now available 313 kW / 425 PS and 550 Nm are a whopping 20 percent more than the SQ5 ex works and that should be clearly noticeable.
The tuner from the Allgäu currently does not give any acceleration values, but we assume that the ABT SQ5 completes the sprint to 100 km / h in under 5 seconds and the top speed should certainly be above the electronically limited 250 km / h. But not only the performance was in focus, there have also been subtle changes to the visual appearance. ABT offers for the SQ5 (and all the others) His in-house 20- and 21-inch rims and of course complete wheel sets. And the "normal" Q5s will soon be persuaded to provide more power using the ABT power module. For the Q5 with 252 PS gasoline engine, one can certainly expect a leap in performance towards 300 PS and for the 2,0 liter TDI diesel an upgrade to 215 PS & 440 Nm (190 PS & 400 NM series) Is available.
In the future, however, we will expect another highlight in the form of a complete body kit for the SQ5. ABT Sportsline has just announced that it will be developing a custom body kit specifically for the SQ5 and presenting it shortly. Surely you keep visually there to the big brother SQ7 which not only has 520 PS on request but, if desired, also receives a widebody kit. If we get new details or the first pictures of it, there is, of course, as always, an update for this report. - ABT Sportsline alloy wheels (DR, ER-C, FR and GR in 20 and 21 inches, mystic black, gunmetal, glossy black, matt black, partly diamond-twisted)
