Hardcore pickup: RAM-based AEV Prospector XL Tray Bed!

On the part of the team from American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) there is the AEV Prospector with 37 inches (0,94 m) Off-road tires and Prospector XL with 40 inch (approx. 1 m) slippers either as a four-door pickup with a loading area or as a two-door variant with an aluminum loading box. The Prospector has been available since 2015 and the XL as far as we know since 2019. And now AEV has announced that you will have ten (10!) Prospector XL tray bed want to build. So a variant with two doors! Pricing for the package starts at $29.977, so combine that with a basic vehicle at least $2500 must be budgeted for on the 90.000 series chassis. For the amount you get but by no means the vehicle from the pictures. Because the red presentation vehicle has even more details to show for it.

Almost all available ones are installed optional AEV tuning parts, which means you don't just see the standard Prospector kit here. You can see a massive one Rammschutz with a headlight kit, there's a mighty one intake snorkel, a massive holder for a full-fledged spare wheel and even the rear mudflaps cost extra. The off-roader is also equipped with special Underrun protection plates, there were AEV/Bilstein 8100 reservoir shock absorbers with regard to the chassis and a special paint package was also applied. You can see that on the individually painted rims. Other upgrades include foldable running boards, an ARB on-board air system and the vehicle in the pictures is fitted with massive 41-inch (approx. 1 m) off-road tires. Prospector is an add-on package that builds on a Cummins-powered Ram 2500 or 3500.

many off-road accessories are available

But even the so-called "standard package" ensures significantly more off-road suitability with the AEV 3,0-inch DualSport chassis and Highmark fender flares. The flares accommodate 17 inch Katla rims with 40 inch (approx. 1 meter) BFG Goodrich tires. To do this, you install a hydraulic power steering and also one Warning winch with synthetic cable in a special AEV front bumper is available. Behind the driver's cab, an LED lighting package ensures that the contents of the aluminum tub is visible around the clock. A custom-made, shortened rear bumper also includes additional LEDs. The standard package is rounded off with AEV badges, modified headrests or a different tailpipe. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
