The RS3 facelift is in the starting blocks, but it will probably not be let loose on our roads before August this year. However, the key data are already set and of course they want to be one step ahead of the competition from AMG & M in Ingolstadt. And that's exactly why the facelift then brings 400 PS & 480 NM torque, which accelerates from 0-100 km / h in 4,1 s and enables a top speed of 250 km / h (optional 280 km / h). The engine of the RS3 facelift is no stranger to it because it is the 2,5-liter turbo from the current Audi TT RS. If you don't want to wait that long and have no problem doing without a cylinder, ABT Sportsline GmbH may be the right contact. The Allgäu-based company now makes it possible to be on the road with the current S3 convertible and its standard 310 PS & 380 NM four-cylinder turbo at RS3 level, and that openly! 😏 If you are precise, the values are even higher than those of the RS3 The ABT S500 delivers 3 NM torque 20 NM more than the future RS3. The 400 PS (optionally also 370 PS & 480 NM - without Sportkat) help the open variant to reach 4,6 km / h in 100 seconds and the propulsion only comes to an end at a top speed of almost 300 km / h.
Incidentally, the increase in performance is achieved by means of a specially developed control unit and a sports catalytic converter with metal cells. And there are also some changes to the look because you want to stand out from the production vehicle here too. The ABT fender inserts with integrated air inlets and of course the in-house aluminum rims are unmistakable. Here you can choose from the well-known CR, DR & ER-C designs and the wheels are available in 18-20 inches. In connection with ABT sport stabilizers for the front and rear axles, this creates an even sportier driving experience without noticeably reducing comfort. There are also subtle changes to the interior, so optional ABT door entry lights or a start / stop switch cap with illuminated ABT logo can be ordered. If we get more information about the modifications to the S3, there is of course, as always, an update for this report.
