One of the most interesting classic vehicles in the form of a Repromods, for us is the one already announced in 2018 Batch Ford Mustang. At that time, the vehicle presented was not yet fully functional, but there was already a glimpse of where the company wants to go and what types of vehicles they want to build. And now there is finally a fully functional example that we find extremely desirable and above all successful even without the typical V8 under the hood. From the outside, the vehicle looks like a typical one Ford Mustang Fastback from 1967, with a few modern ones Details and a beautiful wheelset a typical one Restomod could be.

But that's not him! Because it has no similarities to a classic restomod, especially under the hood. By the way, like the guys from Classic Recreations may the team of Charge Automotive the Mustang under license as Repromod build.

In principle, only the basic body of the classic was retained. The EV restomod got a custom made one Suspension with completely new ones Suspension components installed and of course there is also a massively reinforced one Bremsanlage accommodated. And that is also badly needed. Because the purely electric drive train with two electric motors achieves a combined performance of 536 PS and a torque of insane 1.500 Nm. In terms of torque in particular, even a tuned V8 supercharger can hardly keep up. And so does the Mustang's acceleration. Because according to Charge Automotive, the electric oldi just hammers in 3,9 seconds at country road speed.

DC fast charging with up to 50 kW

The source of the energy is a 64 kWh battery pack, which according to the manufacturer is suitable for a maximum range of around 320 km (200 miles) on one charge. At the time of the presentation a few years ago, it was still assumed that it would be around 200 kilometers. The vehicle supports DC fast charging with up to 50 kW and Charge states that the cars have installed core components from Arrival, Charge's technology partner. But let's name a few more changes. The pitch-black Presentation vehicle is based on a real 1960s Mustang and has even more modern features since the conversion headlights received and only the bare essentials decoration included. And a lot has happened inside, too. The Cockpit bears little resemblance to the original Mustang.

It was through a completely new interior replaced that over a big one Infotainment screen in portrait format, a digital instrument cluster, modern Materials and send buttons and switches has. Unfortunately, all the changes and of course the premium quality are not exactly cheap. Charge just want 499 of the electric Mustangs and is charging at least £350.000 (approx. €420.000) for this, significantly more than the originally estimated £200.000. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to.
