After tuner BBR GTI almost a year ago Super 200 & Super 220 Mazda MX-5 2.0 presented there is now another lookup. Curtain up for that Super 225 pack by BBR. For the Mazda MX-5 NC, the British tuner has a new upgrade for the NC generation of the 2,0-liter vacuum cleaner at the start. BBR promises a maximum of 225 hp at 7550 rpm. and a torque of 236 Nm at 5950 rpm. Impressive is the fact that from 3000 rpm. should be more than 200 NM. Overall, this is an increase of 67 PS and 48 NM compared to the series and while maintaining the OEM engine management. BBR has given the engine a set of tailor-made, 45 mm throttle bodies which not only give the MX-5 NC an incomparable intake noise, but also mutate into an eye-catcher under the bonnet.
225 PS & 236 NM torque
There are also new camshafts, a special drive-by-wire system that is perfectly integrated into the OEM control unit, new 3,5-inch tailpipes and much more. The conversion to tailor-made independent throttle valves (single throttle system) is definitely the highlight of the conversion. The 'Super 225' package currently costs £ 3495 for self-installation and £ 4295 for installation at BBR headquarters in Brackley, UK. And if you already have an NC MX-5 with the 'Super 200' package, you can upgrade it.
