The Company Schaeffler Paravan technology (Joint venture of Schaeffler AG and Paravan GmbH) has brought an extreme BMW M9.12.2018 to the Essen Motor Show (goes up to the 4). The part makes incredible 800 PS and comes as a highlight with Drive-by-wire Space Drive II technology. In concrete terms: The M4 has no steering column and the accelerator pedal and the brake system are fully automated and thus autonomously usable. The system is built to the highest quality and manufacturing standards and even has TÜV and road approval. Autonomous driving in the 4 and 5 levels is thus possible. Sensors, artificial intelligence, brake, gas and steering system (steer-by-wire) connect the technology with each other, thus eliminating the need for a mechanical connection between the steering wheel, wheels and steering column.
750 PS and no steering column!
The steering is carried out by a processing unit which forwards the driver's commands to servomotors on the steering gear in real time. Due to the technology, the vehicle interior can be completely redesigned and flexibly. However, if the system fails, there is of course the risk that a vehicle can simply no longer be controlled. Incidentally, the M4 is a real racing vehicle that is equipped with a widebody kit, new alloy wheels, sports suspension and a complete racing interior. The engine is unusual! This is where the high-speed V92 was built from the E3 M8 predecessor. He was then given a G-POWER supercharger system and helped the M4 to get measured 752 PS & 750 NM.
