The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport '57 One of One' is a tribute to the legendary Type 57 SC Atlantic – a masterpiece by Jean Bugatti. The automobile, which has been making the hearts of aesthetes and car fans beat faster for almost 90 years, inspired a Bugatti customer to design her own Chiron Super Sport as a personal tribute to the iconic model. The spark of enthusiasm was ignited twenty years ago Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard. There the customer, a passionate car enthusiast, saw one of the only three in existence for the first time Type 57 SC Atlantics. This moment remained unforgettable and led to this creation two decades later.
Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 57th
On the occasion of her 70th birthday, her husband invited her Molsheim, France, to configure your own Chiron Super Sport. Under the guidance of Jascha Straub began a creative journey that was intended to transfer the unmistakable elegance of the Type 57 SC Atlantic into the modern Chiron Super Sport '57 One of One. The striking one silvery blue tone of the historic model that shimmered under the lights at the Mullin Automotive Museum was chosen as the primary color for the custom Chiron. The color coordination was done with meticulous precision: Straub attended Guggenheim Museum Bilbaoto study the original color of the Atlantic under different lighting conditions and recreate it perfectly for the Chiron.
Bugatti radiator grille reinterpreted
The design of the Chiron Super Sport '57 One of One refers to the distinctive design elements of the Type 57 SC Atlantic. The Horseshoe-shaped Bugatti radiator grille has been reinterpreted to meet the requirements of a modern super sports car. Every air intake, line and vent has been carefully designed to meet the extreme cooling and aerodynamic demands of a 440 mph vehicle. The Great sports rims in a five-spoke design complement the appearance. The customer chose the interior 'Gaucho' leatherto complement the exterior. Accents such as the Atlantic's hand-stitched 'Lightning Blue' silhouette on the door panels and a custom inlay on the center console that features '57 One of One' add a personal touch to the interior.
The iconic sculpture 'Dancing Elephant' by Rembrandt Bugatti, embroidered on the headrests and the signatures of Jean and Rembrandt Bugatti on the door sills, complete the overall picture. Hendrik Malinowski emphasizes the importance of this project, which both honors Bugatti's long history and combines the customer's vision and ideas with the creativity and talent of the Bugatti team. The car is not only a homage to the Type 57 SC Atlantic, but also a new chapter in its legend. The '57 One Of One' will undoubtedly one day achieve the same legendary status as his role model. Until then, the owner enjoys driving experiences in her customized Bugatti.
