1968 Chevrolet Camaro Oldsmobile mid-engine

This custom made one Mid-engine Chevrolet Camaro we absolutely have to show you. The unique piece was built by the team from Centerline Vehicle Designs from Boone (town in North Carolina) and in our opinion it's almost like a rolling work of art. Because the result has in a way nothing to do with a standard Camaro from 1968. Only the doors, the roof, the front part of the fenders, part of the rear fenders and the windows are still identical to the production car. The rest is new! The modified body is approximately 5 inches (approx. 13 cm) wider, 10 inches (approx. 25 cm) longer and has a 3,5 inches (approx. 9 cm) longer wheelbase obtained.

But even with the extensive changes, the body is still immediately recognizable as a Camaro, we think. That only changes when you look under the front hood. Because that's where it is no V8 to see. Because he hides under the "rear cover". Specifically it is a 455ci Oldsmobile V8 naturally aspirated, the tight one 486 PS & 689 Nm torque mobilized. According to the test run, the peak power is around 6.000 rpm. on, and the power comes to the rear wheels by means of three-speed automatic from an Oldsmobile Toronado.

Actually, it would have been much easier to have a modern LS swap kit to use and generally everything one track modern close. But that's not what the project was supposed to be. It shouldn't be a high-tech restomod like everyone else. Instead, they wanted to create a car that wasn't too different from what could have been built back in the 60s. And apart from the extremely modern ones Rims has succeeded, as we think. The body, fit and finish look premium and especially small touches like the custom one Sports exhaust, the Custom engine compartment finish up to the new one inner space with the cool one Switchgear, the Round instruments or Recaro sports seats are absolute eye-catchers.

Air conditioning, windows etc.

And with changes that are not immediately apparent, such as a fully functional one Air conditioning, electrical power windows or "ceiling speakers' the unique piece is impressively rounded off. And best of all, the vehicle is straight on Bring a trailer for sale offered. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
