A Changan Eado XT is one of the few compact hatchbacks on the Chinese market. Usually, compact notchback sedans and SUVs dominate there, but Changan has dared to put a golf opponent on the wheels to get a piece of the cake that VW Golf and Ford Focus share almost alone among themselves. Changan often goes its own way for Chinese standards, and brings models onto the market that also correspond to the European taste, although no entry into the European markets is planned so far. However, the carmaker has already exhibited at the IAA in Frankfurt am Main and at the Geneva Motor Show, and the response was positive at both trade fairs. Now we come to this matt gray copy of the Eado XT, which is hardly recognizable as a Changan.

The example of the Chinese tuning company Low More, which has a front apron that is pulled down so far that it almost mills the asphalt, and due to the "evil eye", a tuning relic from the early millennium, it looks a little like a tuned Opel Astra from bygone days remembers, also has a self-made widebody kit, which was kept in the Rocket Bunny style and immediately caused a sensation. In addition, the front is completely clear, which makes it even more difficult to identify the car as an Eado XT at first glance, provided you have heard of this model in this country. The highlight and at the same time almost embarrassing are the rims from an unknown Chinese manufacturer, which are very reminiscent of the KV1 rims from mbDesign, but have six instead of five spokes. These also extremely concave rims were kept in silver to match the car color, and are sure to split people's minds, as they look cool on the one hand and give the car that certain something, but on the other hand also look like a no-name product if you take a closer look. We do not know which rim it is exactly. At the rear, the car has remained unchanged, and unfortunately we do not know what the interior of this Chinese golf opponent looks like.
Suction cups / turbo petrol engines were available.
For the first generation of the Changan Eado XT, which had been replaced by its successor for about a year, both a 1,6-liter gasoline engine with direct injection and a 1,5-liter turbo gasoline engine were available. The vacuum cleaner produces 128 HP and 168 Newton meters of maximum torque, while the turbo engine has a remarkable 170 HP and tight 230 Newton meters of maximum torque. The 1380 kg Chinese accelerates from 8,5 to 0 km / h in a remarkable 100 seconds, and the power-to-weight ratio is also a good 8,12 kg / hp. The top speed of the stronger version is also 210 kilometers per hour. So you could heat up some Golf or Astra on the highway properly in Europe.
Exotic with tuning potential.
This specimen, and also the other Changan, which can be seen in one of the photos, show that this model has what it takes to become very popular with tuners, because it already looks sporty as standard, and can also be used with various tuning parts from Chinese manufacturers or self-made parts.
