The new Citroën C5X is currently one of the most extravagant appearances of the upper middle class. Not an SUV, not a station wagon and not a sedan, the vehicle goes its own way in terms of styling. The C5X polarizes strongly, because you either find him brilliant or simply ugly. In between there is hardly an opinion! And so far the C5X has not played a role on the tuning stage. However, the Chinese YouTuber created Bai Ning and his crew now named a restyling kit Dongfeng Citroën Versailles C5 for the avant-garde vehicle. The unique (no series production seems to be planned) we would like to introduce you today!
Design homage to the CX!
As soon as you look at the conversion, you think of the glorious history of the brand with the double chevron. Bai Ning and his crew managed to give the car extravagant, fully covered, aluminum rims, reminiscent of the wheels of the legendary CX remember. There are also flared fenders at the front and low-slung flanks at the rear, creating a cover for the rear wheels that reflects the design of the classic Citroën CX picks up. The side skirts and the lower part of the front and rear bumpers have a chrome look to reflect the design language of the designated predecessor. In addition, the vehicle height can be changed by approx. 100 mm (3,9 inches) up and down using the air suspension accessory.

The spirit of the 70s blows in the interior!
Although the legendary single-spoke steering wheel and the magnifying speedometer were omitted for reasons of comfort, the standard black leather interior was redesigned in the colors of the CX from the 70s. Beige leather, as far as the eye can see, provides French charm and at the same time forms a reminiscence of legendary French luxury limousines, which always captivated with their extravagant styling. We have no information on the engine! The Citroën C5X is available with several engine variants. Unfortunately, we don't know which engine is in the bow.
