Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf: Stellantis presents its "Family for Families"

The 26st Caravan Salon, the most important European trade fair for leisure vehicles, will take place in Düsseldorf from August 04th to September 2022th, 61. The Stellantis stand is a highlight among the more than 600 exhibitors in 16 exhibition halls. For the first time, Fiat Professional, Citroën, Peugeot and Opel will appear together in the group's exhibition space. A very diverse family of products with an ambitious strategy: to satisfy all the needs of the very different customer groups, while maintaining the high level with which the Stellantis brands have positioned themselves at the forefront of the market in recent years. The 500 square meter stand will feature four base vehicles equipped with both combustion and electric engines and advanced driver assistance systems. The focus is on evolving Stellantis products to continually provide new solutions for recreational vehicle manufacturers and buyers.

Caravan Salon in Dusseldorf

More than 600 suppliers on 250.000 square meters of exhibition space in 16 exhibition halls (three more than last year): this is the 61st Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, the most important trade fair in Europe for manufacturers and buyers of leisure vehicles. The Stellantis stand at Caravan Salon 2022 extends over 16 square meters in Hall 42 (D500) and is, for the first time, a multi-brand stand that strategically unites Fiat Professional, Citroën, Peugeot and Opel in a “family for families”. The product family, which was created last year through the merger of the FCA and PSA groups, expands the possibilities and complements the range. Both Fiat Professional and Citroën are traditional players in the leisure vehicle sector. Peugeot has an opportunity to return to a rapidly growing market. Opel is making its debut at this show in the MPV sector, which has developed strongly in recent years and in which the users are now younger than average.

With four brands, Stellantis can meet all the needs of families who come to Caravan Salon to discover trends and novelties in an ever-growing market. That growth has actually accelerated during the pandemic. Greater professional flexibility, new, more widespread, intelligent working habits and the increased attractiveness of family holidays in quieter places and in contact with nature have made a significant contribution to this. This inspired the decision for a multi-brand stand that evokes the emotional values of freedom, independence and a love of discovery. The predominant shades of green and brown, the woody hue of the exhibition platforms and the photos of fascinating locations create an immediate reference to a natural environment that needs to be explored and protected for future generations.

wide range of models, sizes and drives

Stellantis is also presenting its wide current product range to the manufacturers of motorhomes and offers the widest possible selection of models, sizes and drives. Stellantis is introducing its latest products: four base vehicles for conversion, with a full range of driver assistance systems up to the latest generation of autonomous driving, as well as the option of a diesel engine or a purely battery-electric drive. Thanks to the electric motor in the Ducato range, suitable for the motorhome market, Stellantis can also offer an offer with regard to the demand for BEVs, the spread of which currently depends on the development of the necessary infrastructure and the interest of each motorhome manufacturer. At the same time, diesel technology is being further developed in order to continue to meet the relevant legal requirements.

The vehicles on the Stellantis Brands stand will showcase a cross-section of the options that RV manufacturers and customers can choose from. The Fiat Professional brand is represented with a Ducato Chassis Cab L4 in white, representing some of the most frequently chosen configurations and options. The vehicle on display has, among other things, a nine-speed automatic transmission, full LED headlights, radio navigation system with a 10-inch touchscreen, emergency brake assistant, lane assistant and traffic sign recognition. Citroën is showing a Jumper panel van L2H2 BlueHDI 165 in aluminum gray metallic. The 5,42 meter long, robust and variable all-rounder has some of the most frequently chosen equipment such as the comfort package with leather steering wheel and full LED headlights. The Opel brand is represented at the stand with the all-electric, five-seat Zafira-e Life.

there are always enough power reserves available

The medium-length version of the vehicle achieves an electric range of up to 75 km according to WLTP* with the 330 kWh battery. With an output of 100 kW/136 hp and a maximum torque of 260 Newton meters from a standing start, the Zafira-e Life is sufficiently powerful in every situation. Electric sliding doors, movable leather seats and a panoramic roof increase comfort in the e-lounge on wheels. The Peugeot exhibition vehicle is also purely electrically powered. Painted in Metallic Blue, the five-seat L2-length e-Rifter features the Allure package, which includes three individual second-row seats, heated seats and climate control. The Mode 2 charging cable, which is required to charge the battery, is also part of the equipment.

With this expanded and refreshed product range, Stellantis underscores the leadership of its brands in the RV market, which continues to be seen as a strategic area, as highlighted in the "Dare Forward 2030" strategic plan unveiled last March. This plan focuses not only on market recognition in terms of products and volumes, but also on customer care and satisfaction. All four brands of the family - each with its own character - work in close contact with motorhome manufacturers and buyers and offer specific services that can both anticipate future market requirements and are close to customer needs in aftersales and customer service.
