Dream on four wheels: Infiniti G37 Coupé by Magass Design!

Im Speed Hunters Magazine once again an absolute eye-catcher was published, which of course we cannot withhold from you. It is a work of art, a sculptural performance of steel and carbon that is second to none. Christian Magass, a design engineer and car builder from Gothenburg, Sweden, has applied his passionate skills to a 2010 Infiniti G37 Coupe (also known as the G60). The result is stunning and may be heading to the 2023 SEMA Show under the Magass Design banner. The G37's front end has been redesigned in the style of the 2022 Infiniti Q60, giving the car a fresh yet familiar look. A series of custom sheet metal work has widened the vehicle by 90mm at the front and 120mm at the rear, with the specially widened fenders even bringing carbon wheel arch liners. The seamless transition into the aprons at the front and back shows how much detailed work went into the project.

The rear has also undergone a transformation, with an OEM Infiniti rear bumper that features an integrated Mercedes-AMG C 63 diffuser. The traditional G37 door handles have also been replaced with Tesla Model 3 flush-fit handles. The special paintwork in BMW Isle of Man Green, complemented with accents in VW Black and Renault ENV Yellow, sets striking visual accents. To complete the sporty look of the G37, the roof was finished with a carbon look and the tailgate was newly made of carbon.

Extreme lowering by means of the Air Lift Performance 3P/3H Airride ensures a particularly ground-hugging driving experience. This also includes front upper SPL control arms, rear SPL camber arms and new rear center links. The wheels are also a work of art in themselves: they are custom-made, three-piece 19 inch "Wed's wreaths VishunuRims clad in Nexen N'Fera tires and green anodized Pood Kustoms wheel studs. And green Akebono brake calipers with slotted and perforated GKTech brake discs ensure befitting braking performance.

modified VQ37VHR engine

Under the hood is a modified VQ37VHR engine with an R35 GT-R intake manifold and forged CP pistons and Carrillo connecting rods. With an E85 petrol fuel system, a Walbro Motorsport GST520 pump and Deatwerks injectors, over 400 hp should be achieved. And inside the G37, driver and front passenger can expect a symphony of beige Alcantara and leather, a green-painted SRS Studio roll cage and a Tesla info display. There is also a sound system with 21 components from Cerwin Vega, including eight 6-inch mid-bass speakers.

There are also six 4-inch tweeters, two 12-inch subwoofers, two 4-channel amplifiers and two monoblocks, all controlled by a Nakamichi sound processor. So the music system is more than just an add-on, it's an integrated experience that envelops and engages both driver and passenger. The cool rear seat for the Airride air tank, specially made and practically useless for passengers, underlines the unique character of the car.

maybe seen at SEMA 2023

And the mechanical masterpiece has not entered the international stage unnoticed. The G37 has already received several awards at the Elmia Custom Motor Show 2023 and even took second place at the Tuning World Bodensee won in Germany in May. But Christian Magass is not someone to rest on his laurels. He is already planning further changes to the Infiniti G37 over the coming months, with each modification being carefully considered and executed to achieve the optimal balance between design and performance.

Don't worry, of course that was far from being the case when it came to auto / auto tuning. Our magazine still has tens of thousands other tuning reports in stock. Do you want to see them all?
