Garage54: The world's first transparent Lada is ready!

The boys of Garage 54 have published a video again! This time to see a Lada with one transparent body. The guys at are known for their crazy ideas, but this one could trump the previous ones. Because the reactions are sometimes twice as high as on other Russian videos. Once again, an old Lada sedan from the Soviet era was used as the basis for the conversion. And after the renovation, the Oldi is standing there as a completely transparent car and could probably also serve as an aquarium. Incidentally, the basis was an old project known as the “ultra-light Lada” with countless holes for “Weight savings". Garage54 removed all body parts so that in the end only the “skeleton” of the Lada was left there.

Then there was a paint job in white and then all body parts were replaced with transparent plastic panels. The new parts were riveted directly onto the frame and adjusted accordingly using heat. Then they installed a motor and an interior (actually just a seat and a dashboard with a steering wheel) and off we went on public roads. The reactions to the vehicle were mixed, but definitely in abundance. It's best to check it out for yourself. We know of course that "Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder". However, we have examined the vehicle extensively and have come to the conclusion that it definitely belongs in our tuning fail category because WE do not consider it beautiful.
