Mercedes-Maybach based on E-Class? A body kit makes it possible!

The Mercedes E-Class is known to be positioned one floor "below" the S-Class. Although they look close together at first glance, the details of the S-Class are quite a bit larger and, above all, much more luxurious. In addition, it is of course clear expensive. And they are one more floor above Mercedes-Maybach variants. A Maybach S-Class of the X222 series easily positions itself in the league of a Bentley or Rolls-Royce. Of course, an E-Class is far from that. But if you want, you can opt for a different look as an E-Class owner. A Chinese company (who else?) has found a solution to turn an E-Class into a Maybach W213 (S 650). You can buy the kit currently on Alibaba, China's major online commerce company from the retailer "Carbest". The kit includes a new one Apron front and back, the typical Maybach-style radiator grille, a diffuser with tailpipes and everything is plentiful Chromium overdrawn. And the whole kit is only $ 1.100. This is dirt cheap! On the part of Mercedes, only the AMG front apron costs twice as much as the whole China body kit.

Of course, this gives rise to a “certain guess” with regard to quality and accuracy of fit. That too Splinter behavior We'd rather not see such components in an accident. One ABE or a Teilegutachten there is anyway not. But that is often the case outside of Germany as well not necessary. The ones installed on the photo vehicle Rims, the Chrome panels the B-pillar and the two-tone Painting (or foliation) are of course to be paid extra. And of course that also applies to them V12 and the Maybach emblems. Even a Maybach lettering is installed on the tailgate. The kit is available for the E-Class from 2016 to 2020, so not (yet) for the MOPF-W213. However, it has to be said, there are worse ways of spending $ 1.100. In our Tuning fail category That's why the kit does it not. If we get more information about the components, there is of course an update for this report.
