Opel Rocks-e KARGO: The most flexible e-delivery vehicle!

Delivering parcels, pizza, medicines, etc. flexibly, practically and emission-free down to the smallest alley in the city center - and that just as easily as it is weatherproof? That's what the new all-electric is for Opel Rocks-e KARGO the ideal solution. With the innovative micro LCV variant of Opel's first SUM (for "Sustainable Urban Mobility"), the Rüsselsheim-based manufacturer will soon be offering the ideal addition to the fleet of many commercial customers. This is ensured by the ultra-compact dimensions of 2,41 x 1,39 x 1,52 meters (length x width x height) with more than 400 liters of modularly divisible loading volume and an electric range of up to 75 kilometers according to WLTP1.

Opel Rocks-e KARGO: The innovative solution for the delivery service

With the new Rocks-e KARGO, Opel's SUM family is now growing with an equally unconventional small delivery vehicle. In the future, Opel will not only make young people aged 15 and over2 and commuters mobile in urban areas, but also enables businesses from parcel services to pizza delivery people to deliver to their destination emission-free. Because online business and the demand for doorstep deliveries are constantly increasing, and the Rocks-e KARGO represents the clever mobility solution for this. The 2,41 meter short and 1,39 meter (without exterior mirrors) slim city Stromer with a turning circle of only 7,20 meters steer perfectly through narrow curves and alleys or into small parking spaces. And the driver and goods are always protected from wind and weather.

Instead of the passenger seat from the one that can already be ordered Rocks-e two-seater variant The Rocks-e KARGO contains the modular loading compartment. A vertical wall visually separates the driver's compartment from the luggage compartment on the side. The bulkhead was designed with a recess in such a way that the driver continues to enjoy the same space and driving comfort as with the standard version of the Rocks-e. The goods stored in the partitioned loading compartment can be accessed via the passenger door or directly from the driver's seat. For the latter, the horizontal cover above the loading compartment can simply be folded up towards the window. If, on the other hand, packages and the like are taken out of the e-mobile from the passenger side, it can be opened upwards towards the driver. Clever additional benefit: when the cover is horizontal in its anchorage again, it supports up to 40 kilograms and also serves as a practical mobile "desk".

Thanks to precisely fitting indentations, delivery notes and clipboards in A4 format as well as laptops or tablets can be placed here without slipping. Slightly raised behind it, there is also another foldable storage compartment within easy reach, in which sunglasses, calendars or pens can be stored. The height of the desk and shelves has been chosen to ensure a full all-round view from the City-Stromer. In order to make the loading options in the Rocks-e KARGO even more flexible, the horizontal device can be completely removed and stowed behind the driver's seat. Larger and higher objects can also be transported in this way. In addition, the Rocks-e KARGO has an adjustable loading floor on the passenger side. This can be locked at seat height, creating two separate loading compartments, or lowered to floor level. In this way, objects up to 1,20 meters long can be accommodated in the loading area of the ultra-compact E-LCV. The new Rocks-e KARGO offers a total of more than 400 liters of loading volume and a payload of 140 kilograms with minimal dimensions. This makes it an innovative, economical, zero-emission transport solution for delivery services in the city and beyond.

Electric, unconventional, practical: with all the strengths of the Rocks-e family!

Rocks-e KARGO customers can rely on the typical strengths of the Rocks-e series: As with all other variants, the electric motor has a rated continuous power of 6 kW/8 HP (9 kW/12 HP maximum power, for example for acceleration). The small Stromer offers a range of up to 75 kilometers according to WLTP1, which can be covered at up to 45 km/h. The 5,5 kWh battery can be fully recharged in around 4 hours using a standard household socket. The corresponding three meter long charging cable is housed in the SUM vehicle and is simply pulled out of the passenger door when required. Opel offers an adapter for charging at a public charging station.

The two-tone front and rear aprons and the characteristic Opel brand face are also typical of the new Rocks-e KARGO. Because like every new model, the LCV version proudly wears the Opel Vizor at the front. All Rocks-e variants already have LED headlights and LED indicators as standard. Side skirts and other body panels underline the robust appearance of the unconventional city electric car. The identically designed doors are also eye-catchers – the passenger door swings forward, the driver's door backwards in the opposite direction. Drivers taller than 1,90 meters can also find comfortable space in the interior. The standard panoramic glass roof ensures a light, pleasant atmosphere – unusual for a vehicle in this class. The new Opel Rocks-e KARGO will complete the Opel SUM family this year. Further information on prices and orderability of the zero-emission, ultra-compact e-delivery vehicle will follow.
