Anyone interested in the topic of Restomod vehicles, especially those based on the classic Porsche 911, will appreciate the American team from Singer Vehicle Design probably not come over. When it comes to 911 restomods, the guys have been leaders for years. But they are by no means the only ones who deal with this topic. A lesser-known UK-based company called Theon Design also makes fabulous 911 restomods for a lot less money. The company also takes 911-generation 964s, built by Porsche in the late 80s and early 90s, and transforms them into beautiful one-offs.

Like Singer, Theon Design also equips the vehicles with a range of modern components while maintaining the classic design and the characteristic 911 driving experience. And Tiff Needell from Lovecars recently had the chance to test one of Theon Design's 911s. The copy is powered by a six-cylinder vacuum cleaner, the displacement of which has been increased from 3,6 to 3,8 liters. There were also new valves and injectors and even one Individual throttle system is built in. The result is a solid 250 HP instead of 370 HP. And so that the load can be delayed appropriately, a new sports brake system is of course included. On the front axle it consists of 964 Turbo components and at the rear it has grown a little compared to the series.

Incidentally, the brake system was installed with a new master brake cylinder. And the chassis is also from the present. It is completely individually adjustable and, in combination with stiffer pendulum rods, is responsible for significantly improved handling. And some impressive changes have been made to the outside as well. For example, the installation of new lens headlights, there were exterior mirrors with brushed chrome, 17-inch rims in the Fuchs style and light wheel arches on display. And Theon also installed a nice duck-tail spoiler and a 4-pipe system. It's best to watch the video in which the 911 is put through its paces.
