Bitter evil continuation 1961 Mercedes Ponton with C63 AMG technology!

The Mercedes Ponton (W 121) was a milestone in the history of Mercedes-Benz. After the Second World War, the car was presented as the first unibody car. With a unique pontoon-inspired design that seamlessly integrates the wings into a three-box sedan shape, the W 121 brought a breath of fresh air to the automotive industry. And it laid the foundation for the later E-Class and represents a time of technological change and reinvention. The robust construction and timeless design made the pontoon a real classic. The W 121 therefore holds a special place in automotive history as it continued the Mercedes legacy while at the same time doing pioneering work for future generations. But this monster from the pictures is different!

Continuation Mercedes Ponton

Says Hello to one of the craziest creations of the year: a 1961 Mercedes Ponton (W 121), but not just any pontoon. No, there's a real one underneath the classic body AMG heart. Looking at the black one Hammer blow style you can almost imagine how even Darth Vader would nod in approval. The front alone gives you an idea that there's more to it than just nostalgia: a perfect fusion of old classic metal apron and a modern air intake that immediately draws attention to the bright red towing pulls. And yes, there is even a small front spoiler in the typical way AMG style.

But let's take a look under the sheet metal. The complete technology greets us W204 C63 AMG, a model that Mercedes introduced in 2007 and heavily revised with a facelift (MoPf) in 2011. The highlight: of course 6.2L V8 engine (M156). A naturally aspirated vacuum cleaner and the last of its kind in the AMG models. Connected with the 7G-Tronic 7-speed automatic the standard powerhouse managed 457 PS and impressive 600 Nm Torque. And what they are doing with this slight conversion should be clear. By the way, the team at is behind this monster project Xtreem Motors, supported by influencers Karanja and YouTuber sadikameen. They have been working on the unique piece since 2020.

The W204 cabin is mostly installed!

And it's not just small changes: one Brembo brakes here, special 20-inch rims there, and of course the body had to be massively adjusted for the upgrade. But it's not just the exterior that impresses, there are also surprises in the interior. When you open the door, the red leather interior shines C63 AMG in contrast to. The vehicle is right-hand drive, with a sporty Alcantara AMG steering wheel and 12 o'clock marking. Minimalist door panels with closing loops and rally-like side windows provide a contrast to the luxurious leather.

But that is not all. LED daytime running lights, completely black LED headlights, a black grille and even Air intakes in the hood show that every detail has been thought of. The rear also proudly presents the typical AMG sports exhaust system with chrome-plated tailpipes. However, it is significantly louder than the original. In short, the Mercedes Ponton (W 121) Retromod with C63 AMG technology under the cover is amazing, combining old and new in an impressive way. A vehicle that will definitely turn heads and hopefully be seen at the 2023 SEMA Auto Show.

  1. If I saw it correctly, I think it's more like a speaker paint, not a hammer blow.

You can buy it too. Reproduce it and how much would it cost... (Switzerland Legal)

  3. Priceless masterpiece! Kudos to whoever made the thing

  4. Aren’t the “creators” of this marvel planning to build more examples? Would these pass the TÜV in D? An idea of the purchase price?
