Roadster Shop's 100 Ford F-1955: classic meets modern!

If you've ever thought about what a classic would look like if it were equipped with modern technology, then you should check out this particular one 1955 Ford F-100 pickup from the team of Roadster Shop view. It combines the timeless beauty of a legendary classic with the performance and reliability of modern technology. The F-100 Of course it's not just any pickup truck; it is a symbol of American automotive art. The special model is based on the second generation of the F-100 pickup, and it's easy to see why, even in stock condition, it's considered one of the most desirable vehicles in America. But what Roadster Shop from Mundelein, Illinois, did with the oldtimer is nothing short of impressive.

After a complete Frame-off restoration, in which every minute detail of the now 68-year-old truck has been checked and restored or replaced, the pickup now has a second youth ahead of it. And what a! He's sitting on a brand new one Custom chassis, which is manufactured by Roadster Shop itself, and was even increased by 4 inches (approx. 10 cm) in the Wheelbase extended. Back then, buyers could choose from a variety of engines for the F-100, from Y-block V8s and Flathead V8s to V8s from the luxury brand Lincoln. But what now slumbers under the hood of this pickup surpasses everything and was unthinkable back then.

Tuned Coyote V8 engine

The heartbeat of the F-100 comes from a modern one 5 liter Ford Coyote V8. In its basic version, this can already be up to 435 PS deliver, which corresponds to an almost fourfold increase compared to the original engine! Thanks to the enormous increase in performance of the V8, a general overhaul of the Landing gear and the Brakes but essential. The truck now has Custom tubular wishbones and impressive Baer six-piston brake calipers with 14-inch brake discs on all four corners.

And to ensure optimal road holding, even the rear axle one Gen VI Camaros and Steering components from one C7 Corvette installed. The whole thing is rounded off by a Landing gear, that, among other things Fox RS SV shock absorbers consists. But a modern engine also requires a modern transmission. That's why a Ford 6R80 six-speed automatic transmission installed, which ensures silky smooth gear changes and optimal power output.

Exterior and interior

Visually, the F-100 impresses with its shiny, among other things Forgeline OE1 steel rims and the tastefully polished ones Wooden inlays in the back of the truck. The look is also enhanced by a deep black Painting perfected in combination with the contrasting red leather interior simply looks stunning. In short, Roadster Shop's heavily tuned F-100 is the perfect example of transforming a classic into a modern one-of-a-kind. A feast for the eyes for every car lover!
