Is the new 8 Series in the G15 series one of the last with a typically sporty look? In view of the X5 G02, X7 G07 and the new 7 series G11 / G12 facelift, one might think so, due to the exorbitantly grown kidneys. However, we do not lose hope that, similar to the “Bangle-Butt” 7 Series (E65) or the 6 Series (E63 / 64, from 2004), it is just a “slip-up” and you will soon become a typical BMW Face comes back. The view of this M850i xDrive from the specialists at Speed-Buster is a relief. Equipped with a 4,4-liter twin-turbo eight-cylinder, there is a whopping 530 hp and a maximum of 750 Nm torque from the factory. Enough power to accelerate to 3,7 km / h in just 100 seconds, all with the familiar BMW mask. But the Speed-Buster team from Sinzig wanted more.

They have adapted the well-known additional control unit CTRS to the N63B44-V8 and ensure a jump in performance to a brilliant 635 PS and 900 Nm (+105 PS & 150NM). The control unit is installed using a plug-and-play cable harness, which is also no problem for laypeople. Including the app, you can then choose from 16 different power levels, but the factory protective functions of the engine are fully retained. The result suddenly brings the M850i xDrive to the level of the M5 Competition (F90) and the upcoming top model M8 should be on par.
